Equity Derivatives Financial Officer

The FP&A group for Global Market Activities (DFIN/MAR/MPA) is the sole source of financial analyses and profitability reporting for SG Americas Equity Derivatives and Fixed Income business lines. The role is within the Equity Derivatives dedicated team and in charge of :

  • Day to day interaction with the head of the business line, on every financial matters
  • Budgeting, Forecasting of the financials (revenue, operating expenses, RWA, balance sheet, etc.),
  • Monthly, quarterly, yearly analysis of the business line profitability to senior management,
  • Design of strategic / financial roadmap of the business line,  
  • Frequent ad hoc analysis,
  • Providing insight and guidance to other Finance teams, Operations, IT, Risk,
  • Answering to external auditors, regulators and tax authorities.

Profile Required

Experience Needed:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work in the financial services industry


  • Famliarity with financial statements (e.g. revenue, balance sheet, RWA, etc.)
  • Fundamental knowledge on financial instruments (e.g. derivatives, options, repos, etc.)
  • Fundamental knowledge on broker-dealers business model and workflows
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Team player

Technical Skills

  • Ability to to build complex spreadsheets (e.g. inputs vs outputs, large datasets, well-organized)
  • Advanced with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong ability in data analytics,
  • Business analytics and modeling (use of Power BI, Tableau, VBA a plus)


  • Bachelor Degree (Business, Finance or Economics preferred)
