Responsibilities

 MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES 
Societe Generale is looking to build a regional ESG program catering to Asian clients and investment strategies. The Asian market is developing for sustainable finance; a growing number of companies have adopted sustainable business strategies to future-proof their business. As a result, new sectors are emerging, and business models are being developed that require innovative financing and investment solutions.  Additionally, ESG is a key component to the business growth strategy globally with the need for strong regional support for implementation.  This position can be described as part project manager, part subject matter expert, and part product Ambassador.

The ESG program manager responsibilities include the following:
•    Build and manage the region’s Markets with Impact program.  Lead workshops, track deliverables, and report on progress
•    Manage the ESG product lifecycle from idea to implementation in the region.  Duties include holding focus groups with Sales and Structuring teams internally, and externally with Clients to build product portfolios, manage product development pipeline and priority setting, see products through the New Product Committee      Process (both new and extensions from EMEA), and track revenue once product is put into production
•    Support Sales and Engineering in preparing for client pitches on ESG topics.  Work with marketing to build marketing material. Partner with Sales and Engineering staff on creating pitch presentations.  Track hit rates for client pitches and produce metrics to show overall success rates
•    Act as correspondent of Global Markets within the Group to adapt and deploy the global Environmental and Social Risk framework in the region.
•    Understand regional ESG industry developments 
•    Develop a local network of ESG partners
•    Develop dashboards that produce metrics on how the ESG program is progressing in the region.  Data points should include, but not limited to, client and product pipeline, status of products in development, revenue generated, and market share
•    Represent global markets at industry forums on ESG topics

Profile required

Competencies
 •    Sound understanding of Global Markets and ESG activities world wide 
•    A good working knowledge of the Societe Generale Global Markets product offering
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to deal with all levels of the client organization and within a bank structure.
•    A robust. cross functional global network within Societe Generale
•    Strong sense of accountability and ownership. 
•    A good sense of urgency and aptitude for multi-tasking, quickly identifying issues and escalating to the appropriate level for resolution.
•    Strong organizational and time management skills
•    Ability to work effectively in a team environment and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment

Technical Skills
•    Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Prior Work Experience
Required:
•    Minimum of 7 years relevant experience and a desire to learn 
•    Previous client facing / project management experience a plus

Education
•    BA, BS, MA or MS from a competitive University/College

Language
•    Strong written and verbal presentation skills in English
