Responsibilities

We are hiring for a specialist electronic Sales-Trader for the ETD business line with a focus on electronic and CARE solutions on Listed Derivatives.

  • The successful candidate's main responsibilies include but is not limited to:
  • Core electronic listed derivatives client coverage, incorporating client algo and DMA trading during APAC hours. This includes full front-to-back execution consultancy on order flow, including providing market insights and updates on strategy selection/performance updates
  • Working with eCOV and high touch management in the development of the ETD client franchise – expansion of footprint with existing clients / development of origination prospects for new accounts
  • Ad-hoc project management for key assigned projects as they arise
  • Generation of monthly MIS reports as required and tracking of client revenues
  • Provide feedback to eCOV & HT management on ongoing system enhancements and requirements, including feedback to core IT partners on NOVA performance & stability
  • Additional coverage on CEE client base for local Singaporean clients for the HT and LT CEE when needed. 

Prime execution (Global Execution Services)

  • Manage and Support Client Transactions in the respective products
  • Maintain & grow strong client relationships, with a focus on Organic Growth
  • Sales Planning (New client identification, Sales Roadmap, Marketing & PR)
  • Product Management / Business Development / Product expansion identification
  • Project manage E2E onboarding for new and existing clients, new and existing trading solutions
  • Support Electronic Solutions (Sales/Marketing, Product, Operations)
  • Support Cross product selling & MARK Sales initiatives
  • Risk & Profitability assessment, Cost control monitoring
  • Keep abreast of business / market intelligence
  • Ensure Compliance with Rules & Regulations
  • MIS Reporting & Tracking

Product & Market Knowledge
Actively participate in training sessions & product teach-ins from across the EQD perimeter. Continually develop your core competencies through training and client/product initiatives. Develop a strong knowledge of the markets in our scope (in particular Listed and Equities markets in APAC), as well as cross-assets/cross-products

Origination and Account Management
To pitch the Global Markets platform, product & services, to identify/recruit/build relationships with clients, identify their needs and accompany them throughout the delivery of services and transactions; Significant client engagement (Frequent client calls/visits, Engaging with prospects, quick reactivity when opportunities arise) is expected from all Sales & Sales-Trading teams, in particular :

  • To monetize our wider Global Markets Franchise
  • To engage directly with client on questions relating to MARK products & markets, trading & market microstructure
  • To be responsible for the complete life cycle of the client onboarding
  • To develop/assist with marketing materials and highlight product differentiation

Teamwork

  • Work closely and back-up other team members to ensure client business/service continuity, ensure effective team work with other teams such as sales, trading, product & marketing.
  • Facilitate client meetings to support referrals/cross-selling, introducing experts/partners (Traders, Research, Product), develop dialogue with other teams regionally & globally
  • Assist the team in all client roll outs and on-boarding, assist all client engagement
  • Work with Support Functions (BMO, KYC, Onboarding, connectivity etc.) as a point person for the business unit in building client solutions

Risk & Compliance Culture

  • Escalate all potential issues and internal and external incidents to management, COO and/or Compliance
  • Understand local rules and regulations of the markets and comply with all internal guidelines including pre- and post-trade, general business guidelines, Code of Conduct etc

Profile required

  • 8 - 10 years of client-facing sales experience, in financial markets
  • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in listed securities
  • Broad based sales coverage with strong communication skills in working in fast-paced and high pressure environment
  • Be a role model for junior staff (demonstrate drive and professionalism, lead by example)

The Execution Services group within EQD Prime, APAC, is responsible for servicing Societe Generale's client base transacting across APAC and global markets. The business incorporates global exchange traded derivatives coverage, cash equities coverage, synthetic equities coverage, sponsored DMA coverage, and all aspects of execution consultancy across these products. Execution Services includes high-touch sales-trading, program-trading, electronic-trading, and SDMA. With coverage desks in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Mumbai, Sydney, and Singapore, the regional APAC execution services team work as a cross-product, cross-execution vertical, coverage unit, providing best in class execution servicing to Societe Generale's diverse client base.
