Responsibilities

The team requires an innovative, highly-motivated, and proactive individual to analyze ETF trading data sourced from trading venues and an internal database. The goal is to identify opportunities which will help develop our business. We are looking for someone with a keen interest in financial markets, experience in assessing large data sets and presenting information using data visualization techniques.


As part of the Capital Markets team, your missions will be:

  • Analyse ETF trading data sourced from trading venues and an internal database
  • Identify and explore opportunities to help develop the Lyxor ETF business
  • Prepare documents which summarise identified opportunities for presentation to senior management
  • Work closely with a central data team in Paris to develop new reporting for Capital Markets and Sales use
  • Assist the wider Capital Markets team in client queries relevant to the role as required

Profile Required

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Frankfurt am Main is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

Graduate with a Master degree from a Business/Engineering school or university, majoring in Math or IT.
Keen interest in financial markets
Experience working with large data sets and analytical sets and analytical tools (including VBA)
Skilled in data visualization
Proficiency in scripting languages (SQL, Python) desirable
Knowledge of a Dashboard language (Tableau, etc.) or equivalent report building is beneficial
Fluency in English required. Any other European language would be advantageous. 



In terms of knowledge and experience, you will obtain expertise in: 

  • ETF products and insight on asset management
  • German and European banking environment

Your environment

Lyxor Frankfurt is the German branch of Lyxor International Asset Management SA a subsidiary of Société Générale SA. The branch carries out Portfolio Management, Sales & Marketing on both Passive (ETF, Structured funds) and Active products. The platform is planned to grow significantly in the next years leveraging on local expertise of the German investors.

This VIE position is based within the ETF Capital Markets team. The team operates as the central point of contact for both primary and secondary market ETF activity and is in charge of overseeing the trading of the entire range of Lyxor ETFs. The team also operates as a business development function, managing relationships with trading firms active in Lyxor ETFs and provides insight on ETF execution to investors.
