Job Description

The position is based within the ETF Capital Markets team in London. The team operates as the central point of contact for both primary and secondary market ETF activity and oversees the trading of the entire range of Lyxor ETFs. The team manages relationships with Authorised Participants (APs), investment banks, brokers and market makers active in Lyxor ETFs and provides insight on ETF execution and education to investors.

The ETF Capital Markets Specialist will be jointly responsible for the oversight of the Primary and Secondary markets for Lyxor ETFs. The ETF Capital Markets Specialist will also work alongside internal and external stakeholders to develop trading processes and the liquidity of Lyxor ETFs.

The Specialist will be asked to participate in other day-to-day roles of the team, e.g. proactively growing business with Sales and Trading desks at Authorised Participants as well as providing education and insight into ETF trading to investors and sales teams.

Core responsibilities:

  • Help oversee the functioning of Lyxor ETF’s primary and secondary markets
  • Handle real-time requests from Authorised Participants and liquidity providers trading Lyxor ETFs
  • Work with liquidity providers and brokers to ensure efficient trading both on exchange and over the counter (OTC)
  • Interact with trading venues (and CSDs/CCPs) to ensure the smooth trading of ETFs

Project work as assigned: e.g. work with partner teams to develop the primary market function

Profile required

Role specific competencies:

  • Previous experience working directly with ETFs at an issuer, market maker, exchange or custodian (ETF servicing)
  • Very good understanding of ETF primary market processes (creation/redemption facilitation)
  • Very good understanding of secondary market liquidity and trade execution
  • Very good knowledge of Authorised Participants, brokers and market makers
  • Sound knowledge of Equity and Fixed Income liquidity
  • Sound market and ETF product knowledge

  • Language requirements: fluent in English (French is not required)
