Financial Institution Group Coverage Analyst - VIE-Milan

Responsibilities

The Analyst will be involved in every step of a transaction and specifically:

-  Assist the FIG coverage team on a portfolio of financial institutions (i.e. Banks, Insurers &     Asset Managers) on both origination and potential execution

-  Perform Economic Financial, Credit and Risk analysis on key clients and prospects

-  Prepare presentations and briefing notes for client meetings and transactions execution, covering a variety of topics (e.g. investment banking, financing alternatives, capital markets advisory, asset-liability management, treasury services and derivatives)

-  Conduct FIG industry research (regulatory, peer analysis, system-wide)

-  Understand the impact of new regulations on financial institutions and SocGen offer (Basel, Solvency, TLAC, MiFID...)

- Help with internal reviews to identify business potential / cross-selling opportunities

- Monitor market trends and track client profitability

The candidate will acquire proper skills useful to behave in a dynamic and international environment. He will improve his/her analysis skills, the marketing knowledge and how to manage complex processes dealing with multiple internal and external resources.

Profile Required

The Analyst will work in a team which is highly regarded both within the organization and on the Italian market, having arranged a series of first class transactions.

The Analyst will benefit from a sustained workflow and a friendly team spirit which creates a perfect atmosphere for an individual who is willing to learn and grow.

The day to day activity is diverse and the Analyst will be given increasing level of responsibility according to Her/His willingness to learn and level of commitment shown.

Ideally the Analyst will have previously worked in a bank in (M&A or structured) and have some experience although this is not a prerequisite.

Strong understanding of corporate finance and keen interest for financial institutions

The candidate will have to deal with Italian clients and structured documents in local language so a good level of Italian written and spoken is required.


Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University, majoring in Finance.

Fluency in English
