Financial Management Team Lead

Financial Team Management

  • Organize the local Americas Financial management team to provide the highest level of service quality to the GBSU Executive Committee and the whole GBSU managers community
  • Grow team relationship with the GBIS financial department (DFIN) to ensure strategy and processes alignment with both local Americas and Global financial standards
  • Ensure global coordination with the global Pilotage team on any Financial Management related questions
  • Define work plan, priorities, yearly objectives and strategical pillars, capacity alignment and recruitment if needed for the Financial Management team, based both in the US and Canada

Financial Management

  • Review of monthly GBSU financial statements (forecast & budget) with local GBSU Chief of Staffs and GBSU COO AMER Board, DFIN AMER and DFIN Canada
  • Review Business Cases, Financial KPI: Daily Rate, Forecasting, Project envelops, Invoices, Accruals etc.
  • Provide financial transparency for allocations
  • Generate finance / budget reports and updates for various units

OPEX Management

  • Data Analysis and Reporting - Monthly review and analysis of spend data and trends
  • Daily oversight of automated data and reports from vendors including the follow-up with vendors(s) if data and reporting fails or is missing
  • Monitor and improve expense controls and processes (i.e. requisitions, expense coding/tracking and approval process)
  • Maintain regional expense policies and governance documents and articulate changes to management
  • Monthly invoice processing and reconciliation against budget, through coordination with other regions and Bangalore team

DMA Invoice Management

  • Define and monitor budget need based on Applications management and Vendors feedback
  • Monthly invoice processing and reconciliation against budget, through coordination with other regions and Bangalore team

Transversal reporting management

  • Ensure proper service delivery across GBSU Americas for all transversal reporting processes, including but not limited to Audit Recommendations, OverTime, Mandatory Training….

Executive Committee support

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual strategic review plan, in liaison with the Business lines and other transversal functions
  • Provide ad-hoc strategical analysis to local CIO, COO and EXCO members, in relations to all strategical topics and data sets.

  • Experience on Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI) for customized reports desired

Experience Needed:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, resource management and sourcing processes
  • Previous experience with presentations and interactions with senior management
  • Past experience working in an international environment, complex matrix organization

Educational Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent.

Languages: (Other than English)

  • French language proficiency, a plus

Business insight

Société Générale’s COO Pilotage function is responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of the Americas COO office. This team covers activities such as leading the budgeting process, monitoring human resources management and reporting on staff plan status vs budget & forecast, monitoring and reporting on Strategic initiatives, transformation delivery results vs plan, IT / Travel costs, regional policies etc.

This function also has the responsibility for coordinating with other business units as well as the CIO, COS to ensure that the most appropriate levels of COO services are provided to meet current and future GBSU management needs.
