Singapore Permanent contract Sales


  • Coverage of local and mnc corporates clients based in singapore, south east asia and australia, mainly on their hedging needs and investment requirements.
  • Strong pricing and execution abilities in fx and interest rates derivatives, as well as money market deposits and other investment solutions
  • Preparation of pitchbooks, market comments, termsheets and other marketing materials
  • Originate business opportunities with existing and new clients; to provide advisory on risk management and to build deal pipelines in line with commercial strategy of the team (widening of product scope, increase in volumes, market share and/or markup with existing client base, and onboarding of new clients)
  • Build and develop close client relationships
  • Push sales initiatives and maintain awareness of sg’s fx & rates strength and offerings
  • Work collaboratively with other salespersons in the region and globally, as well as other departments and partners (notably coverage/relationship managers, dcm, trading, engineering, credit, support functions, etc...)
  • To be in compliance with all internal and external rules and regulations while performing on sales budget
  • This role is subject to the MiFiD regulation

Profile required

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Science, Statistics, Engineering
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in relevant field
  • Has experience in direct coverage of Corporate clients, including Chinese accounts
  • Good knowledge on the usage of dealing platforms: 360T, FXALL, Bloomberg, etc
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel, and Microsoft Office generally

Product Technical and Market knowledge: demonstrates a strong knowledge and expertise on market products which are relevant to corporates (notably on FX, Rates, Money market and other investment products), as well as on financial markets overall, including their dynamics. Good Corporate finance knowledge (ability to provide client with suitable and relevant market comments and advisory), and to keep developing this knowledge through experience and regular training

Sales Talent and Efforts: strong sales and communication skills; pro-active, independent and entrepreneurial in marketing existing and new clients; able to develop close commercial relationships; identifying client needs and originating business opportunities, leading them effectively and timely to deal execution. High results orientation and working capacities, promotes SG capabilities and services, demonstrates continuously a strong ability to grow both the business with existing clients and the client base (always detecting and onboarding new clients, potentially focusing more on most significant clients and business opportunities)

Market Intelligence: Knows the market, the needs of each client segment, clients transactions and interests as well as behavior in the market; what competitors do in terms of products and services - Feedback the information to management, Structuring team and trading to improve capabilities and adequacy of the platform.

Cooperation: ensure an effective teamwork within the local team but also globally; good sharing of relevant information about clients and transactions. Good cooperation with all other departments such as the other sales teams, trading, engineering, research, coverage as well as all the other partners and including especially support functions (MO, BO, compliance, legal, IT etc)

Reporting and Transparency: Regular reporting of the activity to management, results/achievements but also impediments/issues and immediately raise internal or external incidents if any. Reports all client meetings to coverage and all necessary parties/stakeholders

Operational risk management and Compliance with internal guideline - avoids entering into any discussion or transaction that could lead to a long-term liability for SG. Understand local rules and regulations of his market(s) and complies with all internal guidelines pre- and post-trade.

Operational Skills:

  • Strong Market and Technical knowledge as well as Pricing and Execution skills in FX & Rates vanilla products (notably spot, swap/forwards, FXO, IRS, CCS, MM and other investment products etc...)
  • Client knowledge: strong understanding of the corporate business and the key decision drivers. Ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and to extract value from these relationships in terms of deals and market share
  • Personal skills: strong sales and communication skills, entrepreneurial and pro-active, results and client driven, strong ethics such as integrity and transparency, strong conduct risk awareness

The team also looks at the cash management mandate of Corporates and proposes suitable Money market and Investment solutions. The business line has teams based in Singapore, HK, mainland China, South Korea, Japan and India. Our clients include local Singapore corporates, as well as MNCs from all other regions.
