Purpose of role

This is an Equity Derivatives sales position covering Global institutions on Asia-Pacific Equity, Delta 1, Volatility, Exotic, Hybrid Derivatives products and our QIS offering. This candidate will market the Asia trading capabilities, sales and a large product suite whilst maintaining client focus, market integrity, and promoting our global franchise and building future business. This candidate will operate as a sales person within the Hong Kong Equity Flow Derivatives Equity coverage team, as well as be part of the broader Asia-Pacific team while operating in constant cooperation with Singapore and Sydney representatives.


  • Ability to innovate and keep up-to-date with personal training on new products, systems, processes and regulations.
  • Responsible, efficient and reasonable approach to all parts of our business, from execution to client coverage.
  • Engage directly and manage client relationships, and answer any specific questions relating to trading, market microstructure and products for clients.
  • Flawless respect of the sales handbook, code of conduct, as well as compliance and ethical guidelines.
  • Understanding of Global Macro environment and impact on markets.
  • Market knowledge with a specific focus on Asia, both for Listed and OTC products.
  • Technical Skills for Equity, Exotic, Hybrid & QIS Derivatives products.
  • Sales Talent: proactive sales calls, idea generation and idea pitching, organized coverage of clientele, new client recruiting, flawless trade execution.
  • Smooth interaction with team members and other desks / divisions, especially Trading, Strategy & Engineering.
  • Fully competent with SG internal systems and processes, especially the ones directly related to the Sales function.
  • Knowledge and full respect of the Sales Handbook, good understanding of local rules/regulations and of potential issue escalation to BMO or Compliance.
  • Is not identified as a problem maker by various partner departments (MO, BO, Legal, Compliance etc…).
  • Cooperation promotion with other regions and business lines, Cross-Selling abilities. Full compliance with the New

Profile required

Previous Work Experience 

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience across sales/sales assistant, client coverage and product trading expertise.
  • Sales & Marketing Skills, proven track record of commercial success with clients.
  • High performer in previous roles, commitment to personal, team and firm success.
  • Strong team spirit consistently embodied by a helpful and respectful behaviour in interacting with our internal and external partners.

Qualifications required or desirable
