FPA Analyst

Shanghai, China Permanent contract Corporate Finance / Accounting


  • Coordinate and correspond with internal clients, i.e. management, business lines and supporting functions, and external regulator’s request if any.
  • Prepare and provide business analysis to the monthly management reporting (balance sheet, Profit and Loss and off balance sheet). In charge of regular meetings with internal clients on the business analysis.
  • Provide impact analysis on new products and projects, in charge of projects related to dedicated processes.
  • Do research and financial projection for specific business strategy reviews and projects
  • Support FPA head to complete annual budget processes.
  • In charge of knowledge transfer on dedicated areas and being a backup position to other FPA processes. 
  • Regular review process and procedures for initiates to carter new requests, improve operational and system efficiency, ensure risk controls and regulation compliance. 
  • Cooperate with and support peers within DFIN department, manage subordinate’s task quality and career development

Profile required

Academic  Background (degree and major)

  • Bachelor’s degree or above. Preferably major in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or Economics

Working Experience /Technical Skills & Know how

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of Finance function in banking industry 
  • Solid product accounting skill in banking business (e.g. commercial banking business, treasury, FX and derivative products, taxation, etc.)

Skills & Competencies

  • Good knowledge in FPA function and financial products

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English, Native in Mandarin

Computer Skill

  • Proficient computer skills in M/S Office, Outlook, I/E, etc

Professional Qualification  (if applicable)

  • CPA/ACCA/CGA/CFA will be a plus

Others if any (require to travel, etc)

  • Good communication skill and be able to work under pressure;  
  • Strong teamwork spirit.
  • Be innovative to think out of box.

  • Support FPA head to complete annual budget process
  • FPA report production and analysis under the supervision of FPA head
  • Manage business line user request
  • Contribute to process and reporting IT tool optimization
  • Liaise with DFIN project manager to complete FPA related project
