Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Primary tasks related to Production Support role include but are not limited to:
  • Monitors users’ requests and issues by gathering the information from the different communication channels (mailbox; phone; physical)
  • Handle queries and one-off data research requests from users
  • Leads investigations to resolve problems independently and in timely manner to keep stakeholders on top of issue status.
  • Participates in L1-L2 support and proactively investigate code base for potential solutions.
  • Formalizes problems and escalates to the next level of support when required.
  • Communicate with users regarding application outages.
  • Handles incident management and follow-up procedures
  • Takes part in morning shift to ensure business continuity
  • Prepare and test release package, perform post-release checks
  • Liaise with regional and global development teams in Paris, Romania and Frankfurt
  • Liaise with other teams to take into account clients’ needs/expectations/issues.
  • Provides functional and technical expertise to produce and promote maintainable and quality solutions. Includes documenting system requirements and documentation of support run book.
  • Understands the business needs and activities, to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Monitors systems by leveraging monitoring tools. Ensures that these tools are in line with our needs and take initiatives to improve their efficiency.
  • Estimates the risks and opportunities in our day to day job and take initiatives to reduce the risks and improve our efficiency. Provides support to your peers when necessary.
  • Be part of Continuous Delivery integration to enhance the way IT delivers to the business.

Profile required

Profile Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Able to work in the stressful environment of a trading floor
  • Knowledge of equity derivative products and listed market trading
  • Ability to work under both Windows and Linux operating system
  • Technical background in Java and VBA is a strong advantage
  • Awareness of cloud deployments and setups
  • Curious about new technologies, ability to share and explore them
  • Fluent English is mandatory

Role Description:

  • A technically strong candidate who will provide level 1 support to the users of the Global Market activities information system, focusing on equity derivative business activities mainly for Warrants trading.
  • Working in a DEV/Ops setup, the candidate will integrated in a fully agile dev/ops feature team. The candidate will be first point of contact for trading and sales teams requiring application support and will assist other team members in designing and deploying modern application architectures.
  • The candidate will need formalise end user’s day to day problems; assesses criticality/priority of these problems and treat them accordingly. Escalates to the next level if need be; gives effective and regular feedback to the end users. Will transform problems to user stories, add it to the product backlog for prioritisation and task building.
  • Estimates the risks and opportunities in our day to day job, take initiatives to reduce the risks and improve our efficiency. Reports regularly on issues to direct management, follows IT processes closely on incident, problem and request management, adheres to the code of conduct.
