GBSU/FRM/CCR is the department in charge of calculating Counterparty Credit Risk for Société Générale on market operations.
Most important metrics are EAD (Exposure At Default) used to feed Group's RWA (Risk Weight Asset) and xVA used to allow our business partners to follow the credit Value Adjustment. We also provide real time simulations to traders for Pre-Deal checking.
CCR department is present in Paris, Bangalore, New York and obviously in Montreal. 
In AMER zone, our teams in NY and Montreal are working on various applications but in particular on OWL (Outstanding Watch List) application. Aim of that application is to digitalize Société Générale’s existing process of adding counterparties to a high priority, closely monitored list (called the “Watch List”), and to implement a machine learning algorithm to catch more Watch List entries, quicker detection of declining counterparties, and to decrease the number of false positives.

Proposed mission is to be part of team in charge of OWL application and demonstrate application can be moved to Cloud environment.
That person will work with senior people located both in New-York and Montreal.
Technical skills required would be:
 - SQL Server
 - .NET
 -  Azure Cloud

Profile required

Profile

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Engineering School or University
  • A previous experience in Cloud computing would be appreciated
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Technical skills in .NET, DB are mandatory
  • Fluent in English

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Montreal is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
