What are you applying to?

Primary tasks related to Functional Application Support Analyst role include but are not limited to:

A hands-on functional support analyst, responding users’ requests, analyzing functional process related to technical investigations, helping the BA’s and developers with tests and homologation. Main responsibility is to be a Point of Contact in AMER for one or more functional lines with respect to users/project requests.

It is critical that this individual has a proven track record working with operations, front office, risk, finance, and external partners to perform functional requirements, QA (testing and homologation), and coordinate with technical staff to deliver releases. The individual also needs to manage functional/technical client expectations within a time-to-market and dynamic environment.

What will be your day-to-day?

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Study and analyze functional requirements, functional issues and bugs, processes in fixed income and equities securities processing domain.
  • Coordinate solution workshops, document requirements with BA’s and developers.
  • Bridge precise and detailed functional requirements with developers and ensure accuracy of technical specifications covering the requirement.
  • Coordinate with users/BAs to produce comprehensive test plan and develop user signoff criteria. Hands-on involvement in analysis and documentation of testing results and review with end-users.
  • Availability for on-Call (night/weekend based on shifts)
  • Ability to work in group, solve/address problems in the root, highlight potential issues/improvements to the development team/ BA’s team.

Profile required

What you bring to our team:

  • Provide rapid resolution to functional and technical issues and report incidents to the appropriate chain of command. End-users included: Traders, Sellers, Auditors, Middle Office.
  • Solve functional problems in a complex financial environment, with varied applications and regional and / or global architectures. Multi-tasking environments.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise (log analysis) to produce and promote quality and sustainable solutions. Define and maintain the application support guide.
  • Automation of controls are indicators to monitor the proper functioning of the contribution tools, negotiation and related referential documents
  • Communicate with users in connection with application failures
  • Liaise with teams from New York, Paris
  • Understand the regulated environment and the constraints of client activity
  • Perform post-deployment testing of new releases (quality assurance)
  • Perform homologation testing of new features (quality assurance)
  • Process queries and ad hoc queries of users' search data
  • Respond to the user within a set timeframe depending on the severity of the problem, document and track (case study, issues, impact studies, action plan)
  • Technical research processes using sources such as error logs and technical documentation of products and identifying solutions to solve problems and improve efficiency.
  • Respect internal standards, standards, and IT processes (ITIL)
  • Timely communication of project production and status to the client and IT management.
  • Effective oral and written communication with the various audiences and at the appropriate levels.
  • Collaboration with development and BA’s teams for the management of new versions, testing/homologation, and deployment
  • Collaboration with the global support team (Paris / Asia) to ensure quality support for end-users
  • Effectively manage the Customer relationship with the end user community
  • Availability for on-Call (night/weekend based on shifts)
  • Ability to work in group, solve/address problems in the root, highlight potential issues/improvements to the development team/ BA’s team.

Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 2+ years Excel, Word, Microsoft Power Point
  • 2+ years SQL Server

Desired/ Plus:

  • Unix, Linux, and Windows server environment
  • Knowledge in Programming
  • Tibco or any other ETL tool
  • Continuous delivery and continuous integration (Jenkins is a plus)
