Responsibilities

Main Responsiblities:

Within the Investment and Product Development Department:

1) As a Fund Manager

  • Supporting the Deputy Head of Investment and Product Development Department for investment management function to run the daily investment operations of LAMJ onshore funds and discretionary accounts:
    • manage fund investments along contractual guidelines
    • perform due diligence of invested strategies
    • analyze risks and sensitivities of OTC transactions, document their valuation procedures and thresholds used in price reconciliation
    • trades execution including on structured notes, Offshore funds, Stocks/JGBs, OTC derivatives, FX, etc.
    • cash management
    • proxy voting
  • Participate to the investment management developments, including investment process, operations process but also systems to manage funds and report on their performance

2) As a Reporting Manager

  • Report on the funds and strategies performance:
    • producing monthly reports and investment reports relating to onshore funds and discretionary accounts managed by Lyxor Japan, and provide them to distributors and clients
    • producing regular report relating to offshore funds (only funds distributed in Japan) managed by Lyxor Paris, including ETFs, and provide them to distributors and clients
    • preparing reporting template for new funds; organize data sourcing; process automatic ongoing production
    • coordinating the preparation and review of BIS reporting
    • translate (English to Japanese) comments on markets and fund performance comments
    • improve existing process to reduce risks and strengthen controls to lead to efficiency

Profile required

Key Skills Required:

  • At least 5 years’ experience of fund management in Japan + Reporting function
  • Experience in JGB / Japanese Equity / OTC Derivatives (Forward, TRS)
  • Attention to detail, organized and autonomy within both fund management and reporting functions
  • Flexible and can-do attitude under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of regulations, financial markets and asset management products, including hedge funds
  • PC skills – MS office suite + VBA, ACCESS (programming capability is a plus)
  • Native / very advanced level of Japanese and strong command of English
  • Preferably good all-round know knowledge of the different client segments (pensions, financial institutions and retail)
  • CFA charter-holder is a plus
