Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

The Business Developer has primary responsibility for growing and maintaining the FXPB offering in the region. This role includes, where time and resource allow, the following responsibilities

  1. Support regional build-out of FXPB
  • Support the overall growth and profitability of FXPB and COTC for EMEA & APAC
  • Help implement the overall vision, strategy and business plan for EMEA & APAC based clients
  • Ensure that Market, Counterparty, Operational, Regulatory, Legal, Reputational, IT risks are managed within established tolerances
  • Work closely with colleagues in Platform Sales in identifying and securing mandates from target market accounts
  1. Be a specialist sales resource for the FX Clearing
    • Will ultimately own relationships with some key clients
    • Aid the Head of FXPB in the realisation of regional revenue targets
    • Contribute to RFPs and client pitches
    • Help coordinate product pushes
    • Assist with training of platform sales/RMs on the FXPB and COTC products
  2. Support the product owner in EMEA & APAC for FXPB
  • Assist the regional owner of the offering / marketing material
  • Help ensure the offering is aligned to the global strategy and the business plan and up to market standards
  • Adapt offering to clients’ needs / Platform sales request
  • Provide thought leadership on our FXPB & COTC franchise/product – communicate externally
  • Work with platform sales to perform market intelligence
  • Foresee all the developments/organizational changes needed to comply with changes in regulation
  • Identify any new opportunities stemming from regulation
  • Represent and promote the business in the industry via press, participate to industry working group
  • Represent and promote the platform internally to MARK/EQD/PCS stakeholders and support functions
  1. Support the main business owner for the FXPB, COTC in EMEA & APAC
  • Input into client file acceptance/refusal
  • Input into negotiation guidelines with legal and provide input on non-standard clauses
  • Help monitor and optimise our liquidity / scarce resources consumption and regional profitability.
  • Help design risk framework to ensure proper monitoring of counterparty / market / operational risk
  • Maintain EMEA & APAC ITEC/OPER relationships as well as the associated platform
  • Ensure support framework is optimal and fit for purpose resources allowing
  • Maintain client pipeline data for EMEA & APAC based accounts
  1. Fully adhere to SG/SGIL rules and guidelines related to conduct and desk set up
  • Ensure that the offering remains in line with the SG/SGIL standards
  • Ensure all FXPB products and services adhere to SG/SGIL policies and guidelines
  • Where I am present ensure those individuals associated with FXPB in the region conduct themselves in line with published standards of MARK and SG.
  • Help define the process for new clients being onboarded so it is in line with SG/SGIL standards
  • Ensure Prime Clearing’s compliance to the 55 Principals of Good FX Conduct in a dynamic way with semi-annual reviews.

Profile required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED: 

  • 2+ years’ min experience in FX PB / FX-related business or OTC derivatives
  • Knowledge of FXPB / COTC sector and regulatory framework in which it resides
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
