Responsibilities

Main responsibilities

  • Lead the GBSU COO teams
  • Coordinate with DFIN the financial steering of GBSU and steer GBSU activities
  • Manage premises day to day operations inclusive of security
  • Manage the sourcing activities in Asia
  • Manage the portfolio of project and execution of change (excluding enhancement) on GBIS perimeter
  • Lead strategic transformation impacting GBSU set up / organization
  • Create and maintain cross-GBSU unit relationships by understanding all GBSU setup
  • As a member of GBSU/COO worldwide Exco, contribute to global projects/initiatives/debates with Head-Office
  • Ad-hoc support to GBSU/DIR
  • Seize any opportunity to bring innovation & best practices and disseminate across the Region when appropriate
  • Respect the SG Group Code of Conduct and embody the SG Group Leadership Model

Actively drive COO activities:

Managerial competency:

  • Manage team managers, develop them and control the activities of the team
  • Ensure the delivery of GBSU COO roadmap and constant alignment with GBSU sub unit as well as Global COO teams in the delivery and orientation
  • Connect with Business managers and GBSU unit heads

Strategic planning:

  • Setting GBSU strategic priorities alongside GBSU Excos.
  • Engage with GBIS partners to align GBSU roadmap and identify area of cooperation which would be beneficial for the structure.

Change management:

  • Contributing to transversal projects/initiatives being driven by either local or global team
  • Be a key actor of GBSU organizational transformation
  • Bringing together multiple stakeholders and helping to drive decisions
  • Continuously improve GBSU COO and GBSU setup and processes
  • Specific context of the position (environment, special features, etc.)

This role has a dual hierarchical reporting line:

  • GBSU Asia Head
  • GBSU/COO Global head
  • GBSU is a matrix working environment that requires the incumbent to be highly mature to work professionally with both functional and geographical teams in the region and in the Head Office.

Profile required

Profile

  • Director / Managing Director level with relevant experience in team management or senior management role.
  • Strategic, reliable and self-motivated, ability to prioritize and work independently and under pressure.
  • Fast learner and high adaptability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and highly attentive to details.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work efficiently and effectively within a matrix organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and stakeholders.
