The project team in Chicago is responsible for managing the PSC projects roadmap from scoping to analysis and execution:

  • Understand stakeholders needs and functional requests
  • Manage stakeholders expectations
  • Establish the governance of the projects
  • Develop the material, tracking, governance model to monitor the execution of the projects
  • Contribute to the prioritization of the solutions, escalate early when risk of delays arise
  • Understand and gather process automation and other improvement needs from the various stakeholders across the firm
  • Define and establish the right level of interactions required between the various groups involved in the project
  • Report the progress and risks to the global and regional management and steerco members
  • Global Head of IT Revenue Services for Prime Services business lines, responsible for the scope detailed below:
  • Scope:

      • Applications: Consensys, UBIX and Smartsteam
      • Product: Listed derivatives and cash equity execution, Listed derivatives and OTC clearing, Prime brokerage - Equity (physical and synthetic), Fixed income, foreign exchange
      • Worldwide coverage (UK, US, Paris, APAC and India)
  • Member of the GBSU/PSC/RVS executive committee
  • Chicago Head of PSC Orga
  • Manage worldwide Revenue Services Technology
  • Supervise and support the managers of RVS applications: Consensys, UBIX and Smartstream
  • Manage operational and technology risks of her perimeter
  • Sponsor and supervise projects to support the business development, operational efficiency, or operational risks management.
  • Monitor financial performance
  • Plan and monitor the annual budget (HC and KEUR)
  • Review and challenge the financial performance targeting operational efficiency (efficiency, quality, costs)

  • Monitor operational and regulatory risks
  • Manage, control and escalate risks if needed
  • Exercise supervision to ensure all Technology risks are monitored and escalated through appropriate dashboards and committees
  • Ensure that operations are compliant with external regulations and internal policies
  • Ensure timely intervention when breaches occur and analyse the root causes to avoid reoccurrence of the issues

  • Lead Revenue Services transformation strategy in consistency with GBS objectives
  • Lead the design and implementation of  the transformation roadmap taking into consideration external / internal environment and business development objectives
  • Develop cooperation and synergies with the business and other support functions
  • Understand and cascade SG and GBS strategy
  • Support the managers and teams in managing the transformation and culture to a new world in accordance with SG Core Values
  • Challenge continuously the organisation and  the processes to target operational efficiency

  • Mange the projects roadmap for PSC in AMER
  • Deliver global programs in lien with stakeholders expectations
  • Drive the projects across departments and locations impacted
  • Coordinating with all impacted teams: Compliance, FO, Risk, Finance… in the US, Europe and APAC as required
  • Drilling into the details of the processes, analysing data files provided by the subject matter experts
  • Driving the implementation of recommendations coming out of the process analysis
  • Putting in place the proper KPIs, in order to ensure a smooth hand-over of the improvements to the process owners
  • Make sure that the right governance is in place with Operations and internal partners
  • Ensure quality of services for clients
  • Manage relationships with RVS operational teams and other functional clients of these applications

Profile required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; to be able to communicate convincingly at all levels with the key decision makers in the relevant business lines and elsewhere within the investment bank
  • Strong written documentation abilities
  • Coordination skills (across and between the teams in OPER and the business)
  • Understanding of Investment Banking market activities
  • Compliant with confidentiality requirements
  • Ability to work autonomously and be responsible for following matters through to completion

Business insight

The GBSU/EQD Department handles the middle and back office functions for all GBSU business lines (Markets, Financing) and International Private Banking.
OPER and IT implement all necessary means to ensure the operational, administrative and financial processing market and credit operations initiated by business lines.
In addition, OPER/IT ensures the control and security of transaction processing in accordance with current financial legislations.

  • The execution of all operations performed by FO
  • The first level of control on operations and "quality" certification
    Customer Relationship Management on Post Trade: Relationship with customers, KYC, any support during the life of the transactions
    Management of repositories
  • The steering regulatory evolution projects.
  • The control of external service providers
