Responsibilities

As a Global Markets Sales Business Manager for South-Asia, you will:

Contribute to the development and transformation of Global Market Sales in South-Asia by:

  • Sponsoring or leading key Global Market Sales projects that have a strong impact on clients
  • Accompanying regulatory changes impacting our businesses
  • Maintaining the alignment of Global Market Sales objectives with those of support and control functions (Operations, Legal, Compliance)

Continuously improve the efficiency of the Global Market South-Asia Sales set-up by:

  • Optimizing our client base and the services provided to them
  • Identifying and delivering simplification initiatives in collaboration with our partners
  • Streamlining and automating our processes through the development of new tools

Ensure the Global Market Sales South-Asia businesses are properly run, controlled, and protected by:

  • Securing the framework of our commercial franchise/ Identifying areas of operational risks and taking corrective actions to remediate them
  • Coordinating the client onboarding and review processes for Global Market Sales in South-Asia.
  • Monitoring and supporting the Sales activity for Global Market South-Asia:  Providing advisory and guidance on new transactions, new products and new set-up, and ensuring compliance with rules and guidelines applicable to Sales

Provide relevant support to the local head of Global Markets:

  • Budget, roadmap preparation
  • Strategic reviews
  • Activity reports/dashboard

Profile required

Academic Background and Certifications, Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in global markets-related roles, of which 3-5 years’ experience in Sales Business Management role (including Cross Asset Distribution Sales)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance-related fields
  • Experience in an international bank showing similar processes covering Sales supervision.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Operational Skills:

Project management skills and experience; good coordination skills through different support function and management level to deliver effective and implementable solutions.
Strong understanding of the global markets’ environment, in particular, knowledge of equity listed, and OTC products will be a plus. Experience in global markets sales tool will be a plus
Client-oriented; Solution Driven while complying with rules (or arguing constructively to have such adjusted).

Strong decision-making skills, with a focus on risk awareness
Ability to prioritize competing tasks and deadlines, and flexible and adaptable to fluid situations.
Ability to advise the head of platform and sale desks. (sales efficiency, compliance with rules, mitigation solutions)

The Global Markets Business Manager office (MARK/BMO) aims at helping the Global Market team’s development and at the same time preventing operational risks.

A global team and a key partner for Global Market business lines and activities to enable Global Market teams to do what it does best – serve the needs of its clients in a secured way.

Combining process and business expertise, quality of execution, technology advisory, innovative solutions and operational risk prevention, MARK/BMO is a trusted advisor helping to ensure the highest service levels to clients.

MARK/BMO plays a pivotal role in coordinating with Support and Control functions in Finance, IT, Operations, Risks, Compliance and Legal.

A successful candidate will be expected to run day-to-day operations while also delivering on business-critical key projects, such as new business, regulations or transformation.

The Sales Business Management Office focuses on building, managing & optimizing all sales processes from pre-trade and post-trade. It ensures the best service is offered to Global Market clients by monitoring, reviewing and transforming existing processes. It also provides the Global Market management with relevant tools and indicators to ensure the efficiency of the commercial set-up.
