                The Société Générale Group has been in Spain since 1906 offering retail banking products until 1992. Since 1992, the Group changed its focus to Corporate and Investment Banking, Asset Management and Banking Services. Today, the Group is one of the major actors on the Spanish market.

            As part of the Global Transaction Banking department, this Middle Officer will be responsible for the delivery of the operational transaction banking/trade finance service execution of the banking group to Corporate clients.

Tasks and responsibilities :

  • Provide consistent, high quality client service and support to achieve high client satisfaction and loyalty
  • Develop a close relationship with customers throughout the whole lifecycle and identify (and share with Front Office) business opportunities with existing customers
  • Manage all areas of the life of a guarantee
    • the domestic guarantee issuing
    • control of lines
    • requesting of release with the original guarantee or other document
    • management of the amendments
    • fees and charges
  • Manage all areas of the life of a guarantee linked facility
    • receiving of Credit Approvals  
    • contract issuing and sending to customer
    • signature checking and collecting
  • Act as backup and support to the trade finance middle office team
  • Other tasks related to Global Transaction Banking responsibilities and processes 

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Graduated in Finance/Economics
  • 5 -7 years of Experience in Global Transaction Banking / Trade Finance - support area

Language skills:

  • Spanish: Native / Fluent (mandatory)
  • English: Strong professional level (mandatory)
  • French: Professional level (nice to have)

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Very good written and oral communication skills
  • Very good command of MS Office
  • Highly motivated and reliable self-starter
  • Quality and results-orientated with very good attention to detail
  • Open-minded with willingness to learn
  • Self-confident personality and self-disciplined
  • Motivation and tenacity
  • Pro-active team player
