Komerční banka Czechia,  is seeking  English speaking VIE to join our Global Transaction Banking (GTB) team.  GTB business unit is part of Corporate and Investment Banking. It covers, centrally from Prague, Trade Finance business of our corporate clients (leading position in the Czech Republic) , Corporate Cash Management for local and multinational companies    (“ Market leader 2019”, by Euromoney) and Correspondent Banking activities.


The candidate will report directly to GTB manager and will be allocated (mainly) to correspondent banking area, which is rather complex and very sensitive, being perceived as high risk activity from Financial Crime perspective. There are three relationship managers in Correspondent Banking team.  They are in charge of  bank relationships of  both Komerční banka Czechia and the foreign branch in Slovakia. 

During your VIE you will be in charge of the following missions:

- Support of relationship managers of Correspondent Banking:

o    Analytical work (e.g. completion of KYC files on banks at onboarding and during periodic reviews, monitoring of  LORI transfers etc)

o    Cooperation with KYC team in SG shared services center in India (team is in charge of collecting documents/data on banks and pre-screening of the same)   

o    Interaction with local Compliance and group Compliance team in Paris

o    Handling queries from foreign banks in portfolio

o    Marketing/selling clearing services (participating in business meetings with clients,  updating  pitch book/preparing business offers)

o    Providing active business support to other bank units

- Support of relationship managers of Correspondent Banking:

- Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports (e.g. on performance review, stock development, NBI etc.)

- Participation in projects (e.g. those conducted under SG Worldwide business lines and other

- Various administrative tasks  for GTB management

Profile Required

The VIE assignment in a nutshell


This VIE in Prague is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. Please see, in order to have more details regarding your financial indemnities.

Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University, majoring in Finance, Risk management.

A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.

You are fluent in English.

You are proficient in Office application.
