Responsibilities

  • The Infrastructure business line is responsible for providing financial advisory services and debt financing in relation to infrastructure assets in sectors including transportation, social and digital infrastructure. The business line has teams based in Paris, London, Madrid, Milan, Sydney and New York.  Our clients include local and international developers of and investors in infrastructure.
  • The successful candidate will be involved in advisory and financing transactions with a focus on:
  • Financial modelling including analysing financial scenarios and producing sensitivity analysis;
  • Support in all aspects of the credit process including preparation of credit applications, due diligence and assistance with utilisation of internal models
  • Manage other internal processes relating to advisory and financing transactions e.g. updating databases, briefing notes, completing internal system-based processes
  • Support ongoing portfolio management and gathering of client information
  • Contribute to identification of potential new business opportunities and assist with preparation of research and marketing materials

Profile required

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge Required

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline
  • Experience in a financial institution desirable
  • Strong numerical skills with a solid understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements and cashflows
  • Existing financial modelling skills will be considered favourably however support will be provided to the successful candidate
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office generally

Behavioural competency required:

  • Proven analytical skills as well as exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly explain complex financial issues
  • An ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • A capacity to manage multiple tasks and the ability to prioritise tasks as relevant

We are currently recruiting a Graduate Trainee to join our expanding Infrastructure team in Sydney, Australia to join us on full-time fixed term basis for 12 months. This is an exciting opportunity to get hands-on experience within a fast-paced, results focused, global organisation that values diversity. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of transactions and will build close relationships with local teams and within the organisation more broadly on a regional and global basis.
