Main Responsibilities
Trade Support’s mission is to ensure all trades and events on the Business position are correctly reflected in the relevant IT system and/or database in order, mainly: 
-    for the Operations chain to be able to ensure a smooth settlement/ matching/ pre-confirmation for all operations
-    for Front Office to have a clear visibility of their position and risk assessment
-    Work closely with IT team to define requirements for new business initiative or propose system enhancement / bug fix requests.

1.    Support/ monitor and control the sales and trading activity of Cash Equity Services team.
2.    Service the client base and ensure all operational requirements are completed to a high standard.
3.    Be subject expert to take a lead in designated tasks, developing workflow and procedural solutions on business growth and new client onboarding flow, especially on cash equity agency activities
4.    Risk assessed mindset and identified any potential risk on current/new business and to implement any control workflow process when needed and with adequate framework
5.    Provide support to team management, understanding the bank strategies and to promote the correct Group Value

Key Responsibilities:
1.    Manage and overseas the end-to-end operations process located in Hong Kong, Japan and Korea 
2.    Come up with team roadmap to address current challenges, execute the improvement plan includes Agency Cash Equities optimization and cross-backup development
3.    Liaise and collaborate with different internal stakeholders/teams across the regions from Front to Back. 
a.    FO and Business Managers – regular governance meeting to share operations highlight and understand the upcoming new business plan / strategy
b.    IT on system issue follow-up and system process enhancement
c.    Global Trade Support Units: ensure processes/ clients coverage around the globe
d.    Global GSC teams- Settlements, Reporting, Static Data, KYC Onboarding/Offboarding, Brokerage & Revenue control, etc. to ensure operation setup and processes are well in placed. 
4.    People development: Come up with clear development objective and deliverables and progressively measure the gaps on staff development progress vs the target profile
5.    Support the team on day-to-day queries/issues under the Agency Cash Equities activity. This includes monitoring and control trade bookings, enrichment, allocation & matching. Follow up trade lifecycle events and to ensure all client enquires, trade confirmation, matching, failed trades and settlement issues have been well taken care.
6.    Client liaison: follow up on all internal/ external client queries; manage and build relationships, ensure all internal/ external client needs are delivered. Assisting client onboarding process, account/static data maintenance and be compliant to the Regulations and Group policy
7.    Perform KPI/KRI: Client performance Indicator to line / regional management with detailed analysis.
8.    Leverage operational knowledge and provide guidance for new initiatives / projects / products
9.    Ensure the team function is structured and appropriately staffed to match the strategic direction of the bank
10.    Participates in the design and implementation of new systems and controls

Profile required

1.    University Degree, preferably in Finance / IT related subject
2.    Minimum 10+ years of relevant operation experience from a Bank / Financial institution
3.    Strong knowledge of bank products and documentation level. Derivatives, FX, Money Market, Cash Equities operations knowledge.
4.    Solid track on people management / leadership
5.    Strong presentation and communication skills in English, both written and verbal with proficiency in Japanese will be an advantage.
6.    Solid problem solving, analytical thinking and taking ownership on projects
7.    Multi-tasking with great efficiency, accuracy, and attention to details
8.    Technical judging skills and able to distinguish critical information
9.    Strong ability to work under pressure, able to prioritize tasks as to meet various deadlines
10.    A team player and good communicator who can work with stakeholders at all levels.
