Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present papers and presentations to stakeholders, including senior management, on complex compensation related matters. Answer questions, provide guidance, and help to influence outcomes
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to turn data into compelling insights by way of storytelling  
  • Strong team management experience, with proven ability to coach and develop team members
  • Partnering with HR Business Partners (HRBP), BU/SU heads, country HR operations and the shared service centre in Bangalore to oversee and drive execution of global compensation processes (such as Annual Compensation Review, Deferred Compensation, benchmarking, etc) in compliance with global rules and guidelines, tax and regulatory requirements (CRD IV, EBA, HKMA, and other local authorities)                
  • Support the regional Chief HR Officer in the implementation of the HR roadmap and exemplify the SG values                                                  
  • Provide guidance, advice, thought leadership and support to HR team and business partners on Compensation related topics
  • Manage the Annual Compensation Review (ACR) process across APAC, including market positioning, budget construction, monitoring and tracking, liaising between the global teams in Paris and the regional HR teams and senior management
  • Manage ongoing service provided by survey consultants (including McLagan, Willis Towers Watson, etc) and be the main point of liaison. Provide advisory support and market intelligence capabilities to HR BPs 
  • Manage the control of operational risk by performing different morse control, maintenance, and enhancement of business continuity plans. Ensure data accuracy and integrity of compensation data in all Societe Generale systems by vigorous control and training programs 
  • Participate or lead HR projects as assigned and ad hoc tasks / relevant responsibilities as assigned by the management    

Profile required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field is required; Master’s/MBA is preferred.
  • Has extensive experience and strong knowledge of compensation practices and instruments, particularly in deferred compensation, market benchmarking and related topic
  • Proven track record in partnership skills and ability to build and leverage relationships both within the business and HR functions.
  • Experienced in coaching and influencing at the senior manager level.
  • High degree of business acumen and understanding of key business drivers and the impact of human capital decisions on business results
  • Possesses good understanding of business financials and the remuneration related regulation.
  • Experience driving significant organizational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Seasoned management skills to lead and to develop the team.
  • Proficient in MS excel skills to develop various type of compensation analysis or modelling.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with virtual teams and drive regional executions.

The role will introduce you to a wide range of HR activities and stakeholders in addition to providing international exposure and opportunity to develop knowledge of the banking industry and project management. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, Asia Pacific.
