Head of Fixed Income & Currency Technology and Operation
Responsibilities
The Head of Fixed Income & Currency Technology and Operation (GBSU/MARK/FFC) is responsible for the delivery and support of Front to Back Technology and Operations to Global Market Fixed Income & Currency (MARK/FIC) businesses in Asia.
Business Liaison
- Ensure that a key link between MARK/FIC and GBSU/MARK/FFC is developed within the team
- Assisting the business in the implementation of their strategy in Asia
- Play an active role in managing the portfolio of projects, requests and issues
Delivery
- Accountable for the full set of Technology and Operations services required to support MARK/FIC in Asia
- Escalate and be a point of escalation for any important issue
- Ensure that systems and projects are implemented and managed in respect with IT & OPS standards and strategy
- Ensure that Operational Risk (security, audit...) is fully monitored and managed in respect with GBSU standards
People Management
- Management of the team ensuring each have SMART objectives, job descriptions and training plans
- Ensure succession planning for key roles
- Provide corporate coaching to reports and organization where relevant
- Communication to the team on a regular basis in terms of regional and global agenda
Financials
- Plan and construct the GBSU/MARK/FFC Asia budget in agreement with the global GBSU/FFC and MARK/FIC representatives
- Monitor expenses in accordance with the budget
- Ensure that cost allocations and budget follow up procedures are implemented
The job holder will also be member of different Executive Comittee Management forums (MARK/FIC Asia, GBSU/MARK Asia and GBSU/FFC WW) and is expected to represent, contribute and implement the Fixed Income and Currency Technology & Operations strategy.
Profile required
- 10-15 years experience in Finance industry managing IT and/or Operations teams
- Strong Communication and leadership skills
- Demonstrated experience to deliver services and solutions
- Ability to influence and manage peers and partners
- Ability to manage and control budget and costs
- Front to Back knowledge on Fixed Income activities will be a plus

Within Societe Generale, you will join GBSU/MARK/FFC department in Hong-Kong, in charge of Technology and Operations for Global Market Fixed Income and Currency business in Asia Pacific.
The team is composed of about 50 staffs covering Project management, IT Development and Support, Trade Support Services
