Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders and HR team to recommend, design, plan, and implement broad HR programs, policies, and procedures to achieve desired HR goals
  • Facilitate organization change as required by the business, leading change management initiatives, particularly deriving from organization change and effectiveness initiatives
  • Assess, identify and diagnose business problems and opportunities and improve organization effectiveness/communication.
  • Coach senior leaders on improving their individual leadership skills, focusing on talent
  • Provide career advisory to employees in portfolio
  • Assess current organizational talent and ensure employee performance is differentiated and appropriately recognized and align people resources with appropriate business strategy
  • Manage and provide oversight for HR related projects/initiatives, Representing HR in cross-function initiatives
  • Ensure smooth delivery of all HR operations / processes (payroll, benefits, etc).
  • Develop by providing coaching and guidance to HR team in their expertise, competency, international communication skill and career potential
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the bank’s reputation and safeguard the Group, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policies. The candidate is expected to apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency 

 

Profile required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Organizational Psychology, or any related field. Master’s/MBA preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in full spectrum of human resources functions in an international environment
  • Proven track record in partnership skills and ability to build and leverage relationships both within the business and HR functions
  • Experienced in coaching and influencing at the senior manager level
  • High degree of business acumen and understanding of key business drivers and the impact of human capital decisions on business results
  • Strong analytic acumen and ability to leverage data to identify business trends and opportunities
  • Possesses solid HR operations background and is hands on in order to guide the HR team to deliver both strategic and operational HR goals
  • Experience driving significant organizational effectiveness initiatives
  • Seasoned management skills to lead and to develop the HR team

Department Description

Reporting to the Regional Head of Human Resources and to the Group Country Head in Japan, you will partner closely with the senior leadership team in driving the people agenda.

Leading a team and you will be responsible for providing solid HR business partnering advice and solutions including the delivery of best-in-class HR services to help the bank attract, develop and retain a high performing team. You will drive operational excellence and be involved in HR initiatives to enhance HR capabilities and support business growth.
