Responsibilities

About the team:

Global Technology Services (GTS) department supports all the IT infrastructures of Société Générale Group and its subsidiaries (Crédit du Nord, Franfinance, etc.) in France and abroad. Its mission is to provide to the Group's businesses lines reliable IT services by providing offers, services levels and optimized costs that meet the needs of the internal clients; such as hosting business applications, workstations, collaborative services, network and telephony.


Infrastructure as a Service (IAS) is one of the critical teams in GTS, delivers the high value added, cost & time efficient infrastructure platform(Traditional and Cloud) on Compute/Virtualization, Operating Systems, Storage & Backup and Software Defined Network services for the SG Group. Those services are automated, available through API and self-service portals.


IAS is also a key contributor for building of GTS cloud platform with many features teams.


Role Summary:

IAS in GSC(Global Solution Center) is very mature, covering all the regions serviced, high level of ownership, having few global leadership roles  and involved in all the critical impactful transformation programs. GSC/IAS is also involved in development of cloud platform( 2 core feature team owned ), automation and transformation programs.


Key Responsibility: 

  • Be accountable for the whole operations, growth in value  and transformation of IAS from India ( Both Bangalore and Chennai )
  • Accountable for Operational incidents in production and ensure  right level of production management
  • Transform and achieve the change of technology and practices from traditional infrastructure towards platform
  • Execute and drive delivery of high impact global program   - including data center transformation, platform migration
  • Position our teams well & enable a culture high performing team to successfully deliver high impact programs. Accountable for talent growth
  • Ensure that all the aspects of cost/budget compliance  and operational risk management
  • As a member of top leadership of Global IAS Exco - providing strategic inputs to IAS Global Exco and be a sponsor for a global program.
  • As a member of GSC & EBS (European Business Services) GTS Exco, provide strategic inputs to functioning of GTS and lead some initiatives with virtual teams.

Profile required

Key Skills :





  • A minimum 15 years of strong experience with infrastructure knowledge of virtualization, Storage, Systems, Hybrid cloud, Agile/DevOps and Program management  
  • Strong experience of  production & incident management
  • Good Learning ability, high appetite for continuous improvement, have a high self-drive with result orientation.
  • Strong stakeholder  management and ability to influence  colleagues
  • Strong experience in managing virtual teams and working with matrix organization.
  • Strong articulation, communication skills, experience with working with global senior leadership.
