Responsibilities

Identify the technical skills, functional skills and behavior skills:

·         Technical Skills - Sound Stake holder management and leadership skills, strong knowledge of the internal departments and awareness about the who's who of the department, sound legal understanding; Advanced knowledge of derivative business and markets, Experience in negotiating derivative documents; proficient in MS Word and MS Excel; Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.    

·         Functional Skills - should be an experienced derivative negotiator with minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with leading Banks or Financial Institutions; Exposure towards European/Asian/US markets; Sound knowledge of Contract Law; Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating International Commercial Contracts and Agreements, especially ISDA Master Agreement, Global Master Repurchase Agreement, Global Master Stock Lending Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements; Excellent collaboration and Team and People Management Skills, self-motivated, ability to train team on derivative documents.

·         Behavioral Skills -  Resulted oriented; Client Focus, Cooperation; Team Leadership, Change Leadership, People Development, Strategy and Innovation.                         

      Qualification as a function of Technical Skills:

·         Law Graduate or Post Graduate in any stream of law from any reputed university or college or Company secretary.

Certification as a function of Technical and Functional Skills

·         NA

Experience as a function of Technical, functional and behavior skills:

·         Above 10 years.

Identify the future skills required in the role

Innovation, strategy, leadership, problem solving, team management, project management, stake holder management.

Other responsibilities:

·         In-depth understanding of the SG Policies/ Process.

Profile Required

Carry out due diligence activities.

Working knowledge of the various tools used in SG for Contract negotiations and management.

Real time updating of the tools and trackers.

Work as per the agreed KPIs and maintain the turnaround time.

Maintain the quality of the drafts as per the CSLA.

Provide constructive feedback to the negotiators.

Provide operational guidance to the negotiators to ensure that they follow correct process at all times.

Ensure that the right departments are approached for approvals.

To do the 4 Eyes check for drafts where autonomy has been received and help in implementation of any recommendation received internally or from external consultants for the purposes of reduction of 6 Eyes check. Ensure smooth movement of matters of the negotiators.

Update the management as and when required on white board updates, proper leave planning and back-up plan whilst going on leaves etc. Manage, Track and Report the matter movement of all matters at all stages – Operational Tracker and Monitor the LeMANs GSC mailbox on a regular basis.

Manage escalations and prepare detailed analysis report, negotiations strategies and capacity optimization.

Business Insight

Tasks performed independently, and the percentage of time spent:

· Manage negotiation in each region (London, Hong Kong and New York), Team management, escalation management, client management.

· Guide the team in their negotiations, do timely review of the matters being handled by the team, provide solutions to the issues/queries raised by the negotiators.

· Update the team on any change in policy/ processes.

· Take up complex negotiations.

· Conduct daily calls and ensure that all negotiators are part of it.

· Ensure that KPIs are adhered to and the negotiators maintain the TAT while carrying out their day to day activities.
