Responsibilities

  • Define, prioritize and drive the deliveries of the whole Asia implementation roadmap on OTC Clearing, non-cleared Margining, Risk Mitigation and Trading Obligation;
  • Meet regulatory and business timelines and requirements at high quality and within budget;
  • Communicate, influence and negotiate with senior management and wide-array of stakeholders (Regulators, FO, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Finance, Risk, IT, etc);
  • Be able to manage own projects and lead/coach other PM/BA throughout project delivery;
  • Define and drive standard PM/BA practices across REG team;
  • Gather requirements from a wide-array of stakeholders;
  • Participate and/or as Guest Speaker in industry working groups or seminars (ISDA, ASIFMA…)
  • Conduct a gap analysis and impact analysis with reference to the regulatory rules, business needs and all the internal requirements;
  • Drive the design of business and technology solutions and/or contribute to the development of requirements;
  • Write Business Requirements Documents and test cases;
  • Syndicate and validate solutions proposals with a wide-array of stakeholders;
  • Define/Follow-up on development plans and implementation, anticipate and mitigate risks, drive issue resolution and escalate issues and blocking points;
  • Perform UATs and organize/conduct UAT sessions with stakeholders;
  • Contribute to the design and/or enhancement of business and system processes;
  • Enhance and maintain transversal artifacts created as part of the documentation base for the Program;
  • Develop and extend knowledge of the regulatory rules and associated solutions.

Profile required

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of/experience in the financial industry
  • Knowledge of/experience with OTC Derivatives products
  • Knowledge of OTC Regulations especially on Reporting, Clearing, Margining, Risk Mitigation, Trading Obligation
  • Knowledge of/experience with Trading / Lifecycle Event / Reporting / Collateral Management / Valuation / Accounting / Risk Management / Settlement
  • Knowledge of/experience in Project Management and Business Analyst
  • Understanding of Software Development lifecycles and Agile methodology
  • Use of Microsoft Office tools with ease, including Visio

Qualifications required:

  • Degree in Finance, Information Systems, Technology or another related field
  • Banking/Investment/Financial services experience
  • Prior work experience:
  • 8+ years of work experience
  • Experience working as PM/BA and Team Leader for a Top Tier Investment Bank
  • Significant experience in large scale front-to-back transformation projects
  • Experience in the following fields: reporting, clearing, margining, trading, collateral, valuation, accounting, risk management, settlement, OTC derivative products
  • Strong delivery record – to deliver challenging time-scales within scope and on budget
  • Proven ability to lead teams and leverage this for maximum efficiency

Role Description

The candidate will report to Regulatory Program Manager and manage projects mainly on OTC Transformation Program and lead the stream on Clearing & Margining. She/he will work in close relation with APAC/Paris/London/New York teams. Hong Kong-based Project Manager to work on Asia topics in the OTC Transformation Program, especially OTC Clearing, non-cleared Margining, Risk Mitigation and Trading Obligation. Responsible for the whole Asia implementation roadmap and deliverables covering both regulatory and business scope. Coordinating different application teams from distinct systems; liaising closely with business users, legal, compliance, finance, risk, operation, technology teams, regulators, industry bodies, exchanges, clients and thirdparty service providers; managing delivery from consultation, inception to completion and be part of a global governance.

The successful candidate will be able to manage his/her own projects, as well as to lead other PM/BA to achieve common goals. The candidate must have experience in managing large scale, front-to-back transformation projects with practical knowledge of defining business cases, resource planning, requirement gathering, implementation, milestone tracking, test planning, risk mitigation, other project management skill sets. The successful candidate will be capable of performing detailed business analysis/scoping (either on their own or through a team of analysts) in order to understand and resolve current issues and develop/define the future state vision. This will require the individual to influence at senior levels, while also being skilled at extracting requirements from subject matter experts (Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Risk, Sales, Trading and IT Applications).

Hands-on approach with strong functional/technical/regulatory background. Experience working closely with IT and operation teams is paramount. Exceptional leadership skills, communication skills and strong influencing skills: the ability to drive through change.
