Responsibilities

  • Drive people strategy and execute strategic people priorities for the client group(s) – enabling great employee experience, employee engagement, nurturing talents and leadership and building workforce for tomorrow.
  • Be the face of HR to the management teams of the client group(s) ensuring HR advisory and services are delivered seamlessly in a client-oriented way to support acquisition, career development and retention, and engagement of employees in line with business needs.
  • In charge of daily HR career management of the client group(s) and ensure HR efficiency on all matters in partnership with and supported by various HR COEs and HR Service/Ops teams.
  • Be the trusted career advisor to the employees, know the employees in the client group(s) and contribute to their professional development and well-being, and the development of a strong people-centric managerial culture.
  • Develop and drive appropriate HR transformation and change management plans for the client group(s) in support of the Company’s business transformations and strategies.
  • Partner with the managers of the client group(s) to drive a high performance culture by facilitating leadership interventions, performance management and employee engagement, ensuring fair treatment of employees in respect of Culture & Conduct of the Bank.
  • Ensure full compliance within the framework of applicable policies and local jurisdictions.
  • Respect the SG Group Code of Conduct and embody the Group Leadership Model; embed Culture & Conduct, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Seize any opportunity to bring HR innovation in the client group(s) 

Detailed responsibilities

Workforce Management

  • Define and execute workforce plans in alignment with the business needs and budgets of the client group(s), including talent acquisition (internal and/or external), mobility (geographical or functional), reduction, upskilling/reskilling, retention, etc.
  • Ensure the landing plan is monitored in partnership with business and relevant stakeholders, implementation and execution by respective HR COEs (REC, C&B, IM) and HR Services team
  • Define specific recruitment strategies (including but not limited to specific schemes for juniors/graduates) if needed in partnership with and support by TA
  • Proactively support managers to prevent unnecessary staff turnover by anticipating short and long-term business needs. Support, advise and manage various types of exits within the framework of compliance of applicable policies and local jurisdictions whilst mitigating risks and ensuring regulatory compliance

Career Management, Performance Management

  • Advise managers on career management of employees in the client group(s) in terms of development plans, mobility opportunities, performance management and progression
  • Know the employees to understand their career aspiration and morale by meeting employees of all levels on regular basis, provide them with career advisory/guidance
  • Drive various career management initiatives for the client group(s), e.g. Career Network/internal mobility, Career Interviews, staff engagement initiatives etc.
  • Foster a healthy culture of feedback between managers and employees
  • Manage employee relations matters (including but not limited to grievances and conduct/disciplinary matters) through to resolution with expertise support of ER

Talent Management

  • Detect, engage and develop future talents
  • Execute on talent management and regular succession plans review ensuring a long-term view on leadership development (with a lens on Diversity & Inclusion)
  • Identify and recommend appropriate training and development plans for talents and key staff, in partnership with Talent Development & Inclusion (TDI) team

Compensation & Benefits

  • Support, advise and manage the Annual Compensation Review (ACR) exercise, job matching exercise and other ad hoc C&B topics driven by the client group(s) in alignment with achieving the business objectives, in partnership with and support by C&B, global and countries HR counterparts
  • With the support of C&B and talent acquisition teams, provide market intelligence to the management teams of client groups(s)

Others

  • Participate/contribute to transversal projects or initiatives in line with overall Company’s strategy; lead or actively participate in global, regional and/or local initiative that is outside the day-to-day job duties or operational objectives (include but not limited to business development projects, diversity network, staff club, CSR, innovation, transversal C&C) at least annually
  • Contribute by collaborating inputs into various HR topics (e.g. policies reviews, HR campaigns development) from Career Management & Advisory perspective

Profile required

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or relevant discipline, with solid work experience within a related HR function
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate (influence and challenge when appropriate) effectively with senior executives and stakeholders
  • Business-oriented and high adaptability
  • Strong problem solving skills and highly attentive to details, and some project management skills
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and maturity in handling highly sensitive information
  • Excellent analytical skills and be able to work efficiently and effectively within a matrix organization.
  • Strategic, reliable and self-motivated, ability to prioritize and work independently and under pressure.

Department Description

The HR Business Partner is accountable for the management and development of human capital for the assigned population/client group(s).  The position is responsible for driving the people strategy, advising and building effective talent pipelines, accompanying transformation of the assigned client group(s) and driving change management, working with their Senior Management and managers by providing people solutions in the region.

The position formulates partnerships across HR function within the global, regional and country HR teams and other internal stakeholders outside HR to effectively and efficiently support business needs and deliver value-added “one HR” services to the client group(s).
