Responsibilities
- Being involved in development, testing and documenting new or existing software systems
- Monitoring / troubleshooting (Production support) on key systems.
- Document and follow-up on incidents.
- Proactively troubleshoot and follow-up on remediation plan until roll-out.
- Automate process / migrate legacy platform using modern technology as much as possible.
Profile required
- Business analysis skill (e.g. able understand investment banking products and its related processes)
- Strong desire to learn new technology / business processes through job
- Strictly follow the local compliance and regulatory requirement
- Escalate concerns, inconsistency, mistakes with no hesitation
- Be a subject expert to take a lead in designated tasks, developing workflow and procedural solutions for business growth.
- Risk assessed mindset and identify any potential risks in technology used in the bank and implement new control workflow or remediation process when needed in response to the client and business needs
- Provide support to team management and members, understand the bank strategies to promote the group value and coordinate with different stakeholders
- Understanding of the software version control and various software tools to support business
- Solid understanding of software life-cycle phases including development, testing, release and maintenance.
- Understanding of database querying languages such as SQLite/MySQL/Postgre.
Qualification & requirements
- Ability to communicate in both Japanese and English
- Basic understanding in networking, linux, database, and programming (e.g. Python, C#, VBA)
- A computer science or engineering major background + business / finance major background is a plus
- Candidate must be able work 5 times a week. Should be able to join asap, not later than May 1st 2023.
- Close to Native Japanese is needed (Japanese proficiency test Lv. 1)

This trainee role is suited to a candidate with technical and educational background in computer science or information technology.
The candidate will participate to provide multiple technology (Python, cloud, etc) centric services within the operation’s IT team, covering post trade automations, providing added value technical solution with inhouse development and leveraging on best-in-class technology vendors and infrastructure services.
