Responsibilities
- Assist with handling day-to-day interaction from regulators on central compliance matters
- Assist with coordinating actions with internal stakeholders upon regulatory changes and requests including inspection and enquiry
- Assist with keeping all the internal and external communication records in an organized manner.
- Assist with transformation projects to enhance existing compliance frameworks including presentation to management
- Assist the team to identify opportunities to automate and simplify the existing process with new technology.
Profile required
- Currently studying towards a bachelor's or master's degree in any discipline
- Interest in finance and risk management would be an advantage
- Detail-oriented and a self-starter
- Previous experience in leading team work to successfully deliver changes would be a plus
- English language skills are essential
This is a 1–3-month full-time internship with Societe Generale in Hong Kong whereby you will work within one business line / support function for the period. Department Description:
As a business partner, CPLE supports the BU/SU on a day-to-day basis in studying cases, playing an advisory and warning role in the event of non-compliance with the regulations. This partnership is essential in order to carry out our banking activity in accordance with the regulations and ensure the sustainable development of our business.
The Compliance Division ensures:
- Compliance with laws, rules and ethical principles specific to banking activities and investment services undertaken by the Group, as well as compliance with staff members' personal rules of good conduct and ethics.
- Awareness-raising and training of all players in preventing non-compliance and reputational risks.
