Ihre aufgaben

The intern’s main responsibility is to support the Public Distribution International team in the daily tasks, which will encompass the following

  • To participate in the active management of the product range and its development (new issuances, booking).
  • To maintain a competitive watch and monitor the evolution of the market and investor behaviors in the Nordics.
  • To answer the Clients Hotline re: various product inquiries.
  • To participate in the definition and organization of marketing and communication campaigns promoting Public Distribution products in International Markets, with primary focus in the Nordics (content, digital marketing, brochures and newsletters, seminars, fairs)
  • To ensure maintenance and further development of a state-of-the-art Public Distribution retail client website (product database, web site functionalities)
  • To ensure quality of any new product issuance & product monitoring (quality of animation and price contribution, KID and EMT production, settlement, life cycle events)
  • To solve business or operational issues related to the products sold with the assistance of the IT teams, back-offices, middle-offices 
  • To provide a high level of operational support to the sales (trades follow-up, on-boarding process, documentation) 

The position will allow the intern to get a deep insight of the Listed Products markets & opportunities offered by this fast-growing retail business.

Ihr profil

Experience & technical skills

  • Bachelor or Master Student, preferebly with some working experience in the Finance Industry.
  • Ability to work with MS Excel, VBA is an advantage but not necessary, optimization and creation of Excel based solutions. 
  • Microsoft Powerpoint experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with Bloomberg or Eikon is an advantage.
  • Python programming skills useful but not mandatory for the job.

Personal abilities & competencies

  • Very good communication skills, e.g. ability to describe, explain complex problems in a simple and concise manner, open and friendly, cooperative and team spirit approach.
  • Ability to answer Client requests promptly and politely.
  • Production of work must be of high quality to gain the trust from Senior sales managers and expand responsibilities gradually.

Language skills

  • Swedish (native)
  • English (fluent)
  • Norwegian / Danish / Finnish (useful but not necessary)
  • German / French (useful but not necessary)

Based in Frankfurt am Main, the Public Distribution International Sales team is part of MARK EQD, the Global Markets department specialized in the sales, execution, advisory and risk management of equity and commodity derivatives.

More specifically, Public Distribution International provide retail investors with multi-asset exchange-traded solutions both in the Nordics and Iberia.
Its mission is:

  • To issue and promote Listed Products towards retail investors (mainly) via cooperation with brokers / online banks in International Markets, with primary focus in the Nordics
  • To develop SG franchise and market share on the Listed Products market segment in International Markets, with primary focus in the Nordics
  • To leverage on SG’s outstanding pricing and trading capacities and from its innovation power on the securitized derivatives market

The mandate of the team has a broad entrepreneurial scope. The maintenance and development of the retail platform requires a very good understanding of economics that goes along with deep understanding of financial products.

The intern will mainly assist the Public Distribution International team in the coverage of the Iberian market and also get exposure to additional markets like the Nordics.
