INTERNSHIP - Client Position Regulatory Reporting Analyst - Chicago

Responsibilities

This is a six to twelve month program with the potential to be hired full time.

The purpose of the position is to act as a support person in the Regulatory Reporting, Delivery and Change Management departments. The day-to-day responsibilities will be a mixture of tasks from all three departments but may not include all the responsibilities listed for any given day. LRD, which operates within EQD, is responsible for the following at worldwide level:

  • Making available all the resources required for the administrative and financial processing of derivative markets initiated by the various Business Lines
  • Performing level one auditing in accordance with regulatory requirements, and setting up all the facilities required for secure processing of transactions,
  • Managing operational risks
  • Participating in drawing up economic and accounting results for SG Coverage and Investment Banking & International Private Banking operations

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Regulatory Reporting/ Deliveries:

·         Verification of open interest / position management adjustments on the CME.

·         Verification of open interest / position management adjustments on ICE US

·         Verification of CME large trader adjustments

·         Verification of CFTC large trader adjustments

·         Verification of delivery positions

·         Assist with any audit required for regulatory reporting

·         Document Storage

·         Assist with any projects as requested

·         Makes sure any alert raised is well addressed and your immediate manager is notified of the situation

·         Notify your manager immediately in case of any discrepancy in a position that is expiring or in notice period for delivery

·         Assist with updating and the writing of procedures and documents workflow

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Change Management:

·         Participates in local projects to optimize daily tasks

·         Identify possible improvements, manage projects

·         Collect and formalize the requirements to implement improvements, and participate in the
design, testing, and implementation of the solutions.

·         Participate in any implementation of organizational or technical solutions in response to the
need for optimized processing.

·         Operations and Customer Services Functions

·         Work with clients, Account Executives, business managers and operation teams to manage
projects and define business requirements for assigned projects and other enhancement
requests

·         Proactively follow up on assigned projects/tasks to make sure business needs are being
carried out as planned.

·         Perform user acceptance testing of in-house or 3rd party applications prior to deployment in
production

·         Create or update functional support documents

·         Analyze specific functional processes and procedures, closely manage issues in relation to
process decisions and preferences, and search for best practices and propose solutions

·         Participate in the definition, implementation, and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators for
the Operations Department

Profile required

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel

Desired / Plus:

  • Comprehensive understanding of futures products and the physical deliverable products

  • Organizes follow-up with client services or affiliate to ensure problems are resolved

Qualifications:

Desired / Plus:

  • 1+ years of applicable experience required

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Studies in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or other quantitative subjects is preferred

 

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to start at 6:00 AM CST.
