Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Sustainability team you will work directly with the head of the Americas and his team covering SG’s North American and LatAm client bases
  • The candidate will be expected to perform the full functions of a first-year analyst
  • The primary role of the candidate will be to ensure each team member is fully supported and equipped with the necessary information/materials needed to advise their clients
  • A successful candidate will have strong analytical/technical skills and interpersonal skills, supporting the team from both an analytical and marketing perspective, and will be extremely organised
  • Support Sustainability team in developing client presentations, proposals and updates
  • Conduct analysis on new issues and financial/sustainability analysis on target clients
  • Conduct sustainability product and market analysis supporting preparation of client presentations
  • Prepare frequent written market updates and client marketing documents
  • Build database of market information, issuer information, sector information, kept up to date and in client-ready form (e.g. ratings, transactions, KPIs)
  • Collaborate with other business lines within the investment bank in preparing internal and external marketing presentations

Profile required

  • Broad profiles will be considered, especially if it is believed the candidate has a financial background and some knowledge of international financial markets.  A background pertinent to sustainability/ESG topics would be a plus but is not a pre-requisite
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Willing and able to work full time hours; overtime may be required
  • Occasional weekend work may be required

SG’s Americas sustainability team brings SG’s expertise and capabilities to bear in developing strategic dialogue with SG’s America client base of large corporations. Working with relationship bankers and product teams, the sustainability team acts as first port of call on the topic for clients and bankers alike.
