Responsibilities

The IT Auditor, Intern will be part of the IT Audit Team.

The IT Audit Intern is expected to participate in audits across various business lines and support functions within the Americas regions. The Analyst’s primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to:


-Working independently and responsibly on assigned tasks

-Actively participating in all stages of the audit process: planning & diagnostic, testing, report drafting, and recommendation follow-up

-Effectively communicating with auditees, developing a good relationship and timely escalating when there is an issue

-Analyzing assigned business processes, procedures, risks; and evaluating the internal controls, and adopting a risk-based approach

-Preparing high quality workpapers that support the findings and conclusions

-Anticipating, understanding and escalating issues appropriately for timely resolution

-Participating in department wide transformation projects, actively contributing to the changes and demonstrating readiness and willingness to apply the changes

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED)

Technical Skills:

Hands-on experience with some of the following audit types:

-Application Reviews, General Controls Reviews, Integrated audits, pre-implementation reviews, and infrastructure related reviews

F-amiliarity with IS/IT processes (incident management, change management, release management, configuration management, etc.)

-Knowledge of IT Security concepts, familiarity with vulnerability testing and awareness of security exploits

-Familiarity with one or more security and control frameworks such as COBIT, FFIEC, NIST, ITIL, ISO27002, etc

-Risk oriented knowledge of infrastructure components, such as: database management systems (e.g., DB2, MSSQL Server and Oracle), major computing platforms (Unix/Linux, Windows, VMWare, Cloud Platforms) and client/server architectures, commonly used systems and applications, and web-based technologies, network components (firewalls, routers, internet access points, etc.)

Profile Required

EDUCATION/PRIOR EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems or another relevant subject

  • Some experience in an audit function or previous intern experience with a Consulting firm

Desired / Plus:


Experience writing code, writing data queries, implementing technical solutions, or other IT related jobs
