IT Front Office Support Analyst (Market Risk & PnL)

Summary of responsibilities

  • Provide thorough and clear analyses to unblock, assist and accompany the business on functional IT topics and issues.
  • Escalate incidents to appropriate development teams when required. Liaise with relevant IT teams regarding new functional and technical enhancements.
  • Participate in Agile sprints in any capacity that can contribute outside of user support: business analysis, testing, etc
  • Make available the knowledge of the local activity by promoting and updating documentation of procedures and processes used
  • Train new users within EMEA and accompany the business on major changes impacting their tools.
  • Identify improvement axis and lead/propose transformation of existing processes both for the business or our production services activities.
  • Cater for the needs of the business by providing specifications of changes needed on risk engine and different risk UIs used by the business
  • Participate to the release management cycle for all tools, i.e. tests of new features, non-regression tests + figures non regression tests

Profile required


  • Solid academic background, engineering curriculum e.g. Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science (physics, mathematics…)
  • Fluent English: Position located in London


  • Analytical skills and ability to summarise key messages, i.e be able to analyse, perform reverse engineering on application. Synthetic skills very important. Open to innovation.
  • Clear and concise in communicating. Will have many interactions with traders and other IT team in Paris (XOne / RiskOne / R&D)
  • Proactive, be able to work with users and solve their problems quickly under stressful situations, support the users in every encountered problem and take ownership of the end user issue.
  • “Problem solving” mindset and solution-enabler capabilities
  • Essential multitasking and prioritisation skills
  • Taking initiatives and good teamwork, service-minded approach, aim to achieve highest level of user experience
  • Handling pressure in challenging environment.


  • Object Oriented programming in C#: Senior software development experience is mandatory. Experience in Java would also be appreciated but not mandatory.
  • Advanced experience in CI/CD: Git, TeamCity, Jenkins, XLDeploy, Octopus
  • Experience in micro-services architecture appreciated but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of financial products & quants appreciated but not mandatory
  • Excel/VBA: Some client applications are Excel based, and programming Excel/VBA is appreciated particularly to decommission old spreadsheets.
  • Unit testing frameworks: Experience with unit testing framework NUnit, XUnit, Moq is highly desirable. The team is Agile, any experience of Scrum, Kanban..., Test Driven development is a plus
