IT Project & People Manager with French

Responsibilities

  • You will be stepping into a team that is working for the IT division of the Retail Bank of Société Générale Group from France, where you can leverage your expertise in IT Project Management and IT Operation Management skills;

Your Role in a Nutshell:

  • Responsible for management of more IT teams:
    • Project teams dealing with delivery of web applications and integrations on different Java technology stacks (front-end React/Angular JS, Java 8, Spring, REST APIs);
    • Plan and follow the recruitment resources, to growth the actual teams, based on partners needs;
    • Managing and coordinating the identification, resolution and root-cause analysis of any operational issues on your perimeter;
    • Contribute to functional/technical design, be aware of the project and technological evolution of the applications on your perimeter;
    • The manager must have a sense of production and quality of service: mobilization of teams in the event of an incident, communication and mobilization of other teams, as needed;
    • Develop, communicate, and enforce company IT policies, standards and procedures;
    • Be able to manage relations with local management and clients in a balanced manner;
  • For clients on your perimeter, expressing requests to extend new activities Paris – Bucharest, we count on your experience, to understand partners IT requirements, to propose new IT strategic models to your top management, to adapt the capacity and budget accordingly, to manage transitions and on boarding programs;
  • People Management (around 40 people) :
    • Oversee staff scheduling and projects performance, activity analysis;
    • Be in charge of team management, evaluation, meetings animation, communication;
    • Develop employees career/training planning to be future leaders within the company;
    • Work closely with your employees and find ways to motivate them to perform at their highest level by serving as a role model;
    • Encourage staff to be innovative, customer focused, willing to take appropriate risk, take initiative and ownership;
    • Offer mentorship and provide guidance for the N-1 (tech lead/team lead);
  • For your top management :
    • Prepare IT reporting, KPIs, dashboards for Boards of Directors and main sponsors, risk analysis, integrating safety issues;
    •  Actively participate in Change Management to ensure all SG Group changes have been tested, documented, and approved prior to implementation.
    • Provide support to your management to determine future IT needs at the location, enterprise initiatives, budgets, forecasts, licensing, and asset rotation to ensure profitability and alignment with the company’s goals and objectives;
    • Contributes to the development of department strategy towards business development by creating strong reliable relationships with partners.

Profile required

  • Good command of French, both written and spoken is a must have (English is a plus);
  • Having at least one experience in your career path on an IT Management and one year on IT Project Management position is a must have;
  • Ability and willingness to work in an energetic, fast-paced and team-oriented Agile environment;
  • Sound decision making ability with the experience to balance consensus against authority as appropriate;
  • Team player, with strong collaboration, presentation and influencing skills, who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment;
  • Ability to influence, train, mentor and leverage the skills of others;
  • Strong team building and facilitation skills that include bringing people together from various profiles (Dev, BA, QA, TL), experience, to work toward a common goal;
  • Ability to manage, direct, and provide guidance/leadership to staff;
  • Proven business acumen including the ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization;
  • Having a relevant IT Software culture;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office suite;
