Responsibilities

Societe Generale SA Branch in Poland (“SG Warsaw”) counts more than 40 years of country presence in Poland and is one of the largest European investment banking branches of SG with a total staff of approx. 200 FTEs. Its banking activities are dedicated to a number of International and Polish corporate firms and  financial institutions organized in 3 main business lines: investment banking, custody and cash management. Moreover, the branch provides various nearshoring services (KYC, back office support, etc.) for other SG group entities.
Audit Department of SG Warsaw performs audit activities for the branch being also occasionally involved in audit missions within SG Head office. The professional team accompanied by the IGAD central support and strong cooperation and synergy among the audit teams from the region sustained the good results of the audit activity.

Your responsabilities will be : 
i) conducting in depth internal audit missions on a broad span of scopes of the bank (when necessary in interaction with experts auditors from the HO) and controlling the respect of the regulatory framework, 
ii) delivering added value to the Bank’s management by issuing audit recommendations and reviewing their related action plans, 
iii) contributing to the information of the top management on emerging issues through a process of continuous monitoring of the risks of the entity and defining the audit plan for the next year.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Audit
• A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• Fluent in English and Polish language

The VIE assignment in a nutshell.
This VIE in Warsaw, Poland is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months, with a posibility of further prolongation for up to 24 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
