Within the course of its development, SGSS SPA is looking for a Junior Controller based in Milan to join our TDS team (Trustee and Depositary Services) whose mission is to ensure for our clients the compliance of various obligations of investment funds including investment restrictions, subscriptions/redemptions, dividend payments, valuation controls, cash monitoring.

Core Duties/ Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities:

Under the supervision of head of Junior Controller will

  • Monitor investment restrictions following main European and Italian Regulation
  • Monitor Net Asset Value (NAV) applying Risk Approach Methodology  
  • Monitor subscriptions/redemptions/conversions of units
  • Monitor cash flows
  • Contribute to turn innovative ideas into efficient and secure solutions
  • Contribute to the data and automation journey of the activity

Profile required

The ideal candidate will have a:

  • Post-Graduate Degree in Business and/or Engineering.
  • Prior knowledge of the financial services acquired through a former experience in a financial institution or at a consulting firm.
  • Curious, humble, “no task is too small” mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze Regulation and internal policy  
  • Exceptional team player and proven ability to work cross-functionally
  • Creative with critical thinking skills. Pragmatic. Strength in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Coding skills, data mining & visualization literacy is a plus
  • Fluent in Italian mandatory

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Italy is to begin in Q1 2023 and you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
