Your main missions and responsibilities: 

Within the Unit, the VIE contributes to the management of liquidity of SGSS SpA - Italy.


As such, the VIE will support:

  • the continuous monitoring of accounts in Euro at the Central Bank and the management of payment queues,
  • the control of the accounts in other currencies,
  • all the liquidity centralization procedures in the main accounts,
  • the management and the respect of the Mandatory Reserve in Bank of Italy,
  • the determination of available liquidity and amounts to be invested at the end of the business day
  • the entry of the trades in the tools and of all the relevant information  in the spreadsheets used by the team.


He/ She will have a good overview of the liquidity management processes including how to assess the particular situations that may arise during the day.  He/ She will be able to obtain a sufficient  knowledge of all the other activities in SGSS Spa Italy which generate cash flows.

He/ She will have knowledge of the main risks and the ways in which they are managed.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell:
This VIE in Milan is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

Profile Required

Your profile: 

Graduate with a Master degree majoring in Economics or Accountancy

You are proficient in Office application with a general  good knowledge of main functions of Excel  is important. Any knowledge of the superior functions (for example Pivot Tables) is appreciated

You are fluent in English. A minimum knowledge of Italian is not mandatory but however welcome.  French is a plus.

Your environment:

In a Milan based team of four people, the VIE will contribute to the management of liquidity of the Bank in Euro and in all the most important currencies.

Liquidity Management Unit – Milan  is part of DFIN, the global and integrated finance division of SG Group.


The team acts mainly on the Italian market for Euro and on the main markets for the other currencies.

The investment of liquidity follows the indications of the Local Management and the ALM Committee (Asset and Liabilities Management Committee).


The investment of  liquidity is made at SG Paris in coordination with GTPS Paris and GTR Paris.


Liquidity Management must guarantee the regular activity of the bank, contributing to generate profit in accordance with the rules established by the Authorities. Moreover Liquidity Management has to respect the authorizations and the limits imposed by Societe Generale SA.
