Junior Sales / Trader - Commodities

Responsibilities

•    Provide sales coverage for Commodity futures with a primary focus on LME Metals 
•    Provide overall care of client accounts to insure customer satisfaction
•    Identify potential customers and means of developing new business
•    Remain current on services and products offered throughout the firm
•    Develop and increase execution business 
•    Assist customers in the formulation and implementation of various strategies
•    Efficient, timely, and accurate execution of orders
•    Report fills to clients and ensure correct trade details are passed to support areas
•    Recognize and act on additional sales opportunities
•    Close sales independently and as a team
•    Maintain and develop relationships with clients 
•    Market the firm’s services to existing clients and new prospects
•    Cross sell firm products to existing clients and new prospects
•    Liaise and reconcile trade activity with clients and operations to ensure proper trade settlement
•    Confirm transactions with clients
•    Compile and report daily trading execution volumes
•    Ensure distribution of email, IM, mail, and telephone messages
•    Work with other team members on trade ideas and create spreadsheets as required
•    Prepare both internal and client power point presentations

•    Excellent math, analytical, and communication skills
•    Ability to remain focused during highly stressful market conditions
•    Must be able to multitask and have excellent organizational and follow-up skills
•    Must possess excellent sales ability/experience
•    Recognizing and developing new sales opportunities

Regulatory Skills:
•    Needs to have a good understanding of the regulatory framework and rules of market exchanges and policies
•    Needs to understand the regulations applicable to the performance of the role
•    Needs to build a good working relationship with Compliance and other control functions 
•    Must have unquestioned integrity, propriety, and accountability

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Required:
•    Computer skills that include Word, strong Excel and the ability to learn latest versions of other market related technical programs
 
PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
•    3-5 years market experience
•    Extensive knowledge of the financial services industry and markets
•    Fundamental economic analysis with both Micro and Macro focus
 
EDUCATION 
•    Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Finance or Economics majors preferred)

 FINRA Licensing: Series 3 registration
