The Junior Talent Program Analyst position is responsible for the acquisition, development, and promotion of all early talent in SG’s junior analyst programs including summer interns and full-time analysts. The position is the primary point of contact for new and existing employees within the program.   Liaising with the Learning and Development Team, the Program Analyst serves to provide training and development opportunities to this population to ensure success in their roles and to ensure a smooth transition of participants into their respective perimeters. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with HRBPs and their respective business partners (or COO's) to anticipate the proper staffing commitments, budgeting, and allocation of employees who are to be part of the program.

  • Responsible for all aspects of campus interview logistics, in-person interviews, on-site and virtual visits, and campus programming events.   Continue to improve campus presence with diverse groups for better awareness of the SG brand and the employee value proposition to attract diverse groups prior to the recruiting cycle.

  • Proactively liaise with the business partners to ensure the managers/business partners are clearly outlining the responsibilities for their employees in the program and providing appropriate guidance/support. 

  • Coordinate with the Learning and Development Team to assist in building out the appropriate training and development programs for various program participants to (e.g., Capital Markets, IB, financial modeling, etc.).  Regularly meet with the business to ensure that programs meet their needs.

  • Coordinate the effective and timely evaluation and promotion process for program participants. Advises and challenge managers during the annual compensation review of their teams, anticipating any potential issues.

  • Assist in the build-out of a more structured junior program in the Canada region.

  • Leverage online recruiting resources (digital technology tools), market insights, recruitment initiatives and programs at targeted schools and organizations on campus, as well as relationships with internal/external networks, to identify, source and recruit highly qualified diverse junior program candidates.

  • Act as a sounding board and valuable resource for program participants.  Escalate any potential issues as appropriate to HR Business Partners, Legal or other stakeholders. 

  • Set-up a meeting cadence with the program participants to monitor their progress and  obtain feedback. Share high level feedback with the respective HR business partner for the perimeter.

  • Attend external industry meetings to ensure cross-pollination of ideas and sharing of best practices.

  • Partner with the HR Information Systems team to aid in tracking and monitoring program participants in an automated and easily "reportable" fashion. 

  • Establish strong relationships with employee resource group campus recruiting leads, external partners, school team ambassadors, hiring managers, and senior management to obtain top talent.

  • Ensure managers are trained in the management of poor performance.

  • Works to review, monitor, and constantly improve metrics related to the junior program.  Identifies trends and highlights risks.

  • Keeps abreast of market trends and delivers regular market intelligence to managers.

  • Coordinates the annual compensation review for designated client group with the specialist teams.

  • Supports the C&B team by providing compensation information gathered from exit and recruitment interviews.

  • Supports a strong risk awareness and risk management culture.

Profile required

Technical Skills:

  • Basic Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • Handshake and Taleo platform experience helpful, but not required

  • Social Media platform experience perferred – LinkedIn


  • Client-focused with strong communication skills

  • Detail oriented and organized in a fast paced environment

  • Solutions-driven, forward thinking for innovating current processes

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Basic advisory skills and good interpersonal relations skills

Experience Needed:

  • 2+ years of campus or recruiting or program management experience - relevant HR experience preferred


  • B.S. / B.A. degree in Business, HR, Psychology, or related field
