Responsibilities

The Client Lifecycle and Digital (‘CLD’) department is part of the Wholesale Client Technology and Operations division of Global Banking and Investor Solutions (‘GBIS’).  As part of the Global Banking Service Unit (GBSU), it is globally in charge of the client experience across the GBIS activities. Its mission is to ensure a simple-track and distinctive client journey, both on clients’ and on employees’ side, with a continuous commitment all along our clients’ lifecycle.

Mission: 

Two KYC/AML Officer roles are available in the Warsaw KYC team, that covers the client onboarding and review for entities of Société Générale Group.

The positions require a natural interest and curiosity to learn about financial markets and banking activities and the ability to reprioritize tasks in order to enhance our service to the client and internal stakeholders. Candidates must be able to focus in high pressure situations and are self-motivated to develop themselves through proactive engagement within the team and across business units.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Be a single point of contact / hinge between the business lines, compliance and management;
  • Facilitate new clients onboarding / existing clients management: perform due diligence controls, write risk assessments, validate / update client profiles;
  • Perform KYC/AML support functions.

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • University or business school graduate, with a degree qualifying you to work in the financial sector, majoring in finance, economics, law or international relations;
  • 3-5 years recent prior professional employment in a related field.

Language skills:

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken);
  • Polish – Intermediate level;
  • Other language skills would be considered a plus.

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Good knowledge of KYC, regulatory controls (Tax, MIFID, EMIR, DFA);
  • First-hand professional experience of the European financial regulatory environment (AML, PEP, tax).
  • International experience is considered a plus and may justify basic knowledge of the local regulations;
  • Understanding of the specific stakes of the business lines Global Markets, Global Finance, Coverage & Investment Banking regarding business development and their needs related to KYC period reviews;
  • Good cooperation skills and ability to work with multiple interlocutors of different levels/backgrounds and from various business units;
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills, and willingness to develop these on the job;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (sense of service and flexibility that are expected in support functions), and motivation to improve these with experience;
  • Excellent time management and ability to work autonomously;
  • Excellent ability to self-study and engagement to learn under pressure;
  • Responsible, committed with a good attention to detail.

  • Assertiveness, good negotiation skills and conviction;
  • Team Spirit.
