Main Missions:
You will be part of the AML/KYC hub based in Poland, that covers the client Onboarding and Review for all business lines of the Swiss, German, Polish, UK and Austrian branches.

  • The position requires a natural interest and curiosity to learn about financial markets and banking activities and the ability to reprioritize tasks in order to enhance our service to the client and internal stakeholders.
  • Be a single point of contact / hinge between the business lines, compliance and management.
  • Facilitate new clients onboarding / existing clients management: perform due diligence controls, write risk assessments, validate / update client profiles.

Tasks And Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the Onboarding of new clients/the Review of existing clients by adhering to global policies and guidelines, as well as respecting all associated local, tax or other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform due diligence controls in relation to the identification and reputation of prospects (Onboarding)/clients (Review) including associated parties (directors, shareholders, beneficial owners) using internal, public and paid sources.
  • Perform a risk assessment as part of the analysis and document a formalized opinion, by focusing on the presence of potential reputational, PEP and sanction risks, as well as commenting on the purpose of the client relationship, and highlighting any other identified issues (e.g., documentation), to ensure the bank remains vigilant in the fight against money laundering and meets its regulatory obligations.
  • Validate/update the client profile in the referential systems to reflect the KYC assessment.
  • Provide advice and support to the business lines, compliance, and management to ensure a smooth functioning of the KYC processes.
  • Perform other KYC/AML support functions, such as: filtering of individuals and entities against sanctions and assisting in documentary transactions (L/C) approvals.

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • A commenced university degree / student status for the whole working period is necessary (min. 1 year)
  • Minimum availability of 30 hours per week
  • Preferred start date: Immediately

Language skills:

  • Good knowledge of Polish and English
  • Additional language skills are considered a plus

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Knowledge of MS Office suite (advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint will be an additional asset)
  • Very good organization of work
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Commitment, accuracy
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Ability to work under time pressure
