Lead Software Developer - (Spark/ Scala)

Responsibilities

- Managing & Leading the team of spark & Scala developers

- Managing the end to end delivery of  applications on the big data migraiton project (SLDC)

- Day to day operational activities of the team

- Participate on different initiatives from projects/Business lines on process improvements,

- Good people management skills managing career path & reviews

- Provide and participate in operational and steerco meetings presenting the project status to management.

Profile required

  • Years of experience : 7 to 10 years
    Should have hands-on experience in SPARK, Scala 
    Familiar with big data concepts HDFS, Map Reduce, Oozie, Hue
    Should have strong experience in DBMS and RDBMS concepts
    Should have experience in HIVE on SPARK with strong knowledge on how hive is working
    Should have strong experience in HIVE database tool
    Should have experience in creating hive structures by applying proper compression, partitioning & encryption (creating tables, dropping, altering, partitioning, Views & Indexes etc)
    Excellent Knowledge of HIVE Query scripting
    Should have experience in Hive which includes creation of schema structures, partitioning & performance tuning
    Lead the technical team, provide technical solutions/suggestions/improvements wherever required.
    Review/Manage the developements carried by the team
    Make sure team adheres to the standards of development/testing/delivery
    Agile/Scrum development cycle understanding
    Excellent communication skills
