Leveraged Finance Portfolio Management Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for agency and portfolio management functions primarily supporting Leveraged and Media & Telecom Finance;

  • Process amendments, waivers, and consents for assigned transactions, including obtaining all required internal credit approvals.

  • Handling pre-closing to post-closing activities in cooperation with the front office and the back office ensuring proper administration of the loans

  • Prepare and present quarterly and annual credit reviews (including financial analysis) for assigned accounts.

  • Responsible for credit monitoring and reporting including SG Watch List Triggers, Early Warning Indicators and Leveraged Lending.

  • Work with Loan Sales & Trading/Syndications in sell-down of exposures and processing assignments by participants in SG-agented transactions.

  • Perform quarterly watch-list and provision reviews and present the same in local and global meetings.

  • Prepare reports and responses to management inquiries on portfolios.

  • Assume lead role in assigned projects.

  • Assist in internal and external audits and examinations of portfolios.

  • Participate in workout of troubled portfolio credits.

Technical Skills

 

Required/Must have:

  • Experience in Leveraged Lending

  • Fluent with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

Strong aptitude for learning and using SG systems

  • Strong financial accounting background and fluency with Financial Statements and Notes,

  • Strong financial and credit analytical skills,

  • Ability to understand and analyze pro-forma financial statements,

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Proactive.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-focused environment.

  • Team player. Will be working closely with senior portfolio managers and individual business lines.

  • Knowledge of cash flow modeling and analysis and valuation skills developed in a financial services environment

 Required/ Must have:

 



Minimum 5 years banking experience in a structured finance environment, preferably in leveraged finance.

 

Desired/Plus





Experience working with troubled credits, including workouts.

Experience in Structured Finance   

  

Required/Must have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree.

     

    Desired/Plus:

  • MBA, CFA or

  • Formal credit training program.
