Liquidity Reporting Associate

Responsibilities

Liquidity production is responsible for producing, reconciling and distributing Daily/Weekly/Monthly liquidity reports to SG’s ALM and RISK teams as well as senior management and regulators.  This team has three primary roles in that they have a dedicated dashboard reporting team, a liquidity stress testing team and a 2052a regulatory reporting team.  This role is to have a dedicated resource focused on 2052a (5G) reporting.

  • Responsible for monthly reporting of 2052a (5G) production cycle
  • Conduct comprehensive reporting line review and data quality checks, periodic review of efficiency gain on reporting process
  • Manage production issues including system feed issues, manual adjustments and follow up data enhancements with system projects
  • Assist in regulator reviews and internal audit reviews
  • Expert on technical 2052a reporting instruction guidelines and interpretations
  • Participate in projects of system automations and enhancements, model user-acceptance-testing (UAT)
  • Participate in projects of control framework on enhancing data quality reviews and documentations
  • Short term solution to stabilize data reporting by use of excel or other tools, including macro to facilitate reporting needs
  • Knowledge of broker dealer business, including FCM activities, clearing and prime broker
  • Knowledge of financial products (derivatives, equity and fixed income securities, currencies, structured products, deferred commission assets, commodities, commercial paper, private equity, hedges)

Qualifications:

  • Strong accounting and finance background and experience in Liquidity funding reporting, Experience on liquidity reporting (5G)
  • Knowledge of LCR rules and interpretations
  • Knowledge of broker dealer activities
  • Experience in regulatory reporting in liquidity risk management and other relevant compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of USGAAP and IFRS (International Accounting Standards)
  • Product knowledge in Banks --- derivatives, loans, funding vehicles, currencies, fixed income and equity securities
  • Strong Excel skills, VBA a plus
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with aggressive deadlines

      Desired / Plus:

  • Experience with Regulatory reporting and audits a plus

Experience Needed:

  • 7+ years experience in financial institutions

Business insight

Societe Generale's Liquidity Reporting Production team is responsible for producing, reconciling and distributing Daily/Weekly/Monthly liquidity reports to SG’s ALM and RISK teams as well as senior management and regulators.  This team has three primary functions, in that they have a dedicated dashboarding team, a liquidity stress testing team and a 2052a regulatory reporting team.  It includes daily, weekly and monthly liquidity funding reporting and liquidity stress testing reporting and various other funding flow snapshots. System integration includes account conversion for back office systems. In addition, the team interfaces with regulators and business support for reviews, examinations as well as reporting requirement changes  This role is to have a dedicated resource focused on 2052a (5G) reporting.
