Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

This role will support both operational and project activities.

Support & supervise production activities

  • Perform BAU activities, such as daily transactional activities, position & event management and ensure their completion on a timely manner, especially on the Japan perimeter (both global and Japanese booking clients)
  • Handle direct client’s transactional queries, perform investigation for proper resolution &/or direct them to appropriate teams as appropriate.
  • As a second step, supervise and be escalation point of contact for Japan related production topics and issues
  • Develop an expertise of the Societe Generale business and organization, as well as the PSC business to have an adequate understanding of the business and the supporting platform.
  • Cover for any other activities as the need arises to back up the team in a pro-active and professional manner
  • Responsible for managing relationship with key stakeholders in Japan, MARK CAM, Operational risk, other GBSU teams etc. to maintain and develop the partnership with these teams both onshore and offshore

Support Prime Services & Clearing Change topics

  • Responsible for ensuring BAU Change projects are managed in accordance with internal policies and industry best practice.
  • Perform business process review to identify manual / pain points and assess automation/streamlining/process improvement opportunities

Profile required

Particular Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 7 years Industry experience essential with exposure to Equities, FX, Treasury and Futures / Options preferred
  • Minimum 3 years management experience required
  • Experience with project management is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience across multiple departments within Operations
  • Degree holder in Finance or related discipline
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint etc.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken. Japanese language is required due to Japanese client coverage.

Department Description

The Derivatives Clearing Operations team supports the post-trade activity of Societe Generale’s ETD, FX and OTCC business and services servicing clients including Banks, Hedge Funds, Asset Managers and Corporations.

This role is based in Singapore and reports to the Client Middle Office manager in Singapore.
