Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should be well-versed with the Control Framework/Review of Finance related processes:-
1. Check the quality and exhaustiveness of accounting controls all through the process of production from Front Office, to the Back Office and        
    Accounting production,
2. Engagement with Internal & External Auditors alongwith the assistance to Finance Division on accounting standards with the help of Norms   
    Experts.
3. Strong contribution during the accounting closing with investigation and review of any closing issues and anomalies identified by external 
     auditors.
4. Review of the testing mission performed by team members on the correct application of accounting norms (IFRS & French) through 
     specific thematic identified as risky for the process impacting the Group Financial Statements; 
5. Anomalies identification and improvement: coordination with Group Central/Regional/Local Team in charge of level 2 mission to have a 
     global view on our processes. 
6. Control the level 1 quality framework for accounting, regulatory and financial information; Challenge the quarterly accounting certification and 
    its results; In charge of the anomalies and action plans follow-up between each accounting closing.
7. Ability to perform in- depth end to end review of the control testing review reports and share reports to the relevant stakeholders.
    - Control design review of the Managerial Supervisory controls & ensure Permanent Supervision controls are well followed.
    - Review existing accounting, financial, operational, front office, legal & regulatory controls and    
     provide surety through reporting that the controls are effective or suggest  any necessary revisions or additions in case something is not 
     covered. Describe the risks and  report anomalies in case they are not identified and executed as per control procedure.

Team Management:-
1. Experience in managing a team of 5-7 members.
2. Work with the Finance 2nd level control team Head to develop team members competencies which are at par with global teams.
3. Active participation in the various initiatives from CTL management and cascading the necessary steps to team members.
4. Application of continuous performance management practise, by providing timely feedback to the team members and identifying the areas of improvement and providing attention points to team head.
5. Guide junior team members on topics related to the review methodology, technical aspect of applicable risks, suitable approach in dealing with complex situations ensuring proper risk mitigation for the organization.
6. Develop necessary expertise in dealing with applicable risks (financial/accounting, regulatory & operational) and operate autonomously in delivering the assigned controls or reviews.

General Accounting:-
1. Strong Knowledeger of General Accounting, Closing & Reporiting, Fixed Assets, Account Reconciliations and Financial Analysis.
2. Review and analyze the system generated/Manual journal entries,reconciliations,external reports and analyze financial data and compare to 
    to get the final results.
3. GL account's review alongwith Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly balance sheet and P & L Fluctuation Analysis.
4. Good Knowledge of Consolidation, Inter-Company transactions and its reconciliations alongwith Chart of Accounts & Master Data 
    Management.
5. Ensures the suitability and effectiveness of internal controls in General Accounting process.
6. Performs and conducts reviews on analysis of balance sheet and other account reconciliations and supporting schedules, reports on 
    discrepancies.
7. Identify issues and areas for improvement to drive process improvement and efficiency, enhance controls, and increase data transparency 
    and reliability.

Profile required

Desired Technical Skills
1. Challenging and analytical skills in order to be able to give an independent and relevant opinion on the control framework or the correct application of accounting standards. 
2. Ability to perform a rigourous analysis of the Level 1 & 2 control framework.
3. Expert on accounting, regulatory  or prudential (level 2) processes and its normative impact.
4. Ability to understand Banking & Investment business lines and able to challenge the processes with a continuous improvement mindset.
5. Strong audit and accounting skills
6. Proficient with Microsoft Excel & Access.
7. Exposure to data analytical tools suhc as Power BI, Alteryx etc.
