Your environment


As VIE in the ETF market Making support Team, your main responsibility will be to support all kind of requests related to the Software Application “FBI” (Flow Baskets and Instruments). You will monitor and perform daily processes in FBI like Basket Composition management or life cycle events for all instruments and coordinate the instrument setup process for new products. Moreover, you will maintain and administer the database which includes all static data, you will support the Trading and Sales Teams with FBI Queries, Analysis of corporate actions etc.


Your role


During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:

  • Basket Composition management
  • Coordination of instrument setup process of new products (ETFs, Funds, Stocks, Derivatives) in FBI
  • Improvement, Automation and managing of the set up processes (VBA, Python)
  • Maintenance and administration of the database which includes all static data of FBI (Excel, VBA, SQL, Python)
  • Setup and maintenance of new/existing products in FBI (ETFs, Funds, Indices, Stocks, Derivatives)
  • Analysis of corporate actions (dividend payments, stock-splits, etc.) and implementation of the data in the trading system
  • Automation of any processes which are related to database-connections and can improve daily work
  • Implementation of automated reports for checking data to prevent potential sources of error
  • Support of Trading-Teams with FBI Queries
  • Improvement, Automation and managing of the set up processes (VBA, Python)
  • Testing of new features or processes

Profile required

Your profile

  • Graduated with an IT Bachelor/Master degree or a Business Administration, Finance & Accounting in combination with IT focus degree.
  • You have an IT background (you already worked with Excel, VBA, SQL, Python) and you were involved in projects to improve/change IT landscape within an operativve department.
  • You are fluent in English and German


The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Frankfurt is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.


We would like to draw your attention to the fact that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
